After Angola, U.S. Still Refuses To Acknowledge U.N. Rights Of The Child, But Why?

The United States is the only country refusing to sign on to the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child but has anyone really inquired, lately, as to why this is so?

It seems the United States is still using children as human shields and it still seems Israel is exempt from including children of Gaza, for that matter.

Trafficking tiny humans is really a profitable way of maximizing revenues and financial leveraging.

It must be noted that the Convention on the Rights of the Child is still geared to remain under international law.

Image result for selling babies
Goods to be acquired
I take issue with this as the sole jurisdiction because it recognizes corporations as corporate parents, with all concepts of parental rights conferred upon them through UCC statutes as individual real persons are not incorporated, which is why the U.S. will never sign on to the U.N. Convention of the Child.

It is just a revenue maximization thang, in the name of the tax exempt christian god, of course..

Committee on the Rights of the Child Considers Reports of Angola

The Committee on the Rights of the Child today concluded its consideration of the combined fifth to seventh periodic report of Angola under the Convention on the Rights of the Child, and its initial reports under the Optional Protocol on the involvement of children in armed conflict, and the Optional Protocol on the sale of children, child prostitution and child pornography.

Presenting the report, Ruth Madalena Mixinge, Secretary of State at the Ministry of Social Action, Family and Promotion of Women of Angola, noted that despite a retreat of investments in the oil industry, which had affected the implementation of a number of Angola’s social projects, the Government had maintained its protection of human rights for all citizens with a focus on the most vulnerable, such as children.  A vast package of legal instruments and public policies had been adopted and institutions had been set up with a view to promoting and guaranteeing children’s rights to life, development, participation and protection.  The National Council for Social Action had also been created as a body for social dialogue and to monitor the implementation of public policies for the promotion and protection of the rights of children, elderly and other vulnerable groups.  To enforce the rights and freedoms of children, birth registration had been universalized.  In 2016 the Government had adopted a basic law requiring compulsory, free education from the primary to middle school years in order to extend free national education from six to nine years, eliminate school dropouts and eradicate illiteracy.  “Angola 2025” had also been adopted as a long-term strategy to ameliorate and augment social services and holistic programmes to combat rural poverty.
In the ensuing discussion, Committee Experts inquired about how the Convention was invoked before courts, data collection, review of the 2012 Children’s Act, social spending and corruption, the role and functioning of the Ombudsman, participation of civil society, harmful practices such as witchcraft accusations against children and female genital mutilation, minimum age of marriage, polygamy, measures to address the situation of children with disabilities, children living with HIV/AIDS, and lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and intersex children, birth registration, corporal punishment and violence against children, juvenile justice and the age of criminal responsibility, orphaned and abandoned children, adoption, infant health and infant mortality, adolescent health, maternal health and maternity leave, abortion, breastfeeding and child friendly hospitals, fighting malaria and yellow fever, child labour, and trafficking in children.

CONYERS: Hillary Should Have Press Conferences ‘All The Time’

Conyers, ranking member of the House Judiciary Committee, was asked what President Obama and Vice President Joe Biden have to do to make the case for a Clinton presidency. Conyers told PJM that President Obama should focus on “full employment” during his remaining time in office.

Charlie Rangel and John Conyers
“I’d like to have both of them talk about jobs, justice and peace, and that stems from my feelings about what Dr. Martin Luther King did to revive the civil rights movement in America. And I believe that would add to the Obama legacy these last few months in office. It inspires Hillary to do as much as she can in this area,” he said.

“As the wealthiest country in history, there’s no reason we can’t have full employment. If we have full employment we don’t only help our communities but we help the national economy as well, and so this is the first thing: jobs. Barack Obama has done a good job. His legacy right now is healthcare. He’s done a good job on that but I want his last few months going out to the door, turning it over to Hillary Clinton, we want him to be working on jobs, full employment,” Conyers added.

DNC Convention Drama Update: FBI Director Comey Has Another Headache

Remember, I am only the messenger.

Poor baby.
FBI Director James Comey, "Ugh, Not again".
Contrary to public ignorance, this entire presidential race is about child welfare, or rather the final leg of implementing the privatization scheme to access the Social Security Trust Fund.

James Comey, FBI director is more than likely not a happy camper right now.

Since the public has taken an interest into the DNC convention, here are the latest updates:

The FBI is now investigating the so-called "Russian hacking" of the DNC.

If the Russians can hack the DNC, logic would present itself that it hacked into other, "unsecured, non-encrypted" servers or even the RNC?

(FYI:  Rumor in the cyberverse has it, the hack was in-house.)

And now, the plot thickens.  Marcia Fudge was. according to her own words, hand picked by the Clinton campaign weeks ago.

(FYI, rumor in the cyberverse has it Donna Brazile is Chelsea Clinton's godmother.)

Donna Brazile Out, Marcia Fudge In. Third DNC Chair In 8 Hours
You can’t make this stuff up. The Democratic National Convention has now announced its 3rd chairperson in the last 8 hours. According to Wikileaks.org and confirmed by CNN:

Earlier today, Debbie Wasserman Shultz was outed as the DNC Chairwoman on the eve of the convention after a weekend that saw her entire office and staff exposed in an embarrassing email dump of the Democratic National Committee, exposing a concerted effort to fraudulently hand the nomination to Hillary Clinton by conspiring to derail any hopes of Bernie Sanders securing the nomination. This lead to Debbie Wasserman Shultz immediately being hired as a chair of the Clinton Campaign.

Shortly after the Wasserman Shultz resignation, CNN released Donna Brazile from her CNN contract so she could fulfill the duties as the DNC Chairperson on an interim basis for the convention in Philadelphia. She was expected to be interim Chairperson until after the elections in November.

This lasted about 30 minutes, then all hell broke loose as numerous websites, this one included, published scathing articles showing that Brazile was as deeply involved in the fraudulent activities as Wasserman Shultz was. You can read the Brazile emails here. She called Bernie Sanders “stupid” and threatened to “cuss out his staff”.

Well, Bernie apparently still has some power left and apparently now has used it to force Brazile out and the Democrats have now named a 3rd chairperson.
Marcia Fudge has now been named as the new interim chair.

Stay tuned...

Michigan Governor Rick Snyder Uses State Police For Campaign Purposes

Michigan State Police GOP Campaign Staff

Well, well, well.  Look at what we have here!
Governor Rick Snyder is sending 100 Michigan State Troopers to assist in the GOP Convention in Ohio.

Now, let us examine this phenomenon:

First you have major corporations pulling support of the Republican convention.

Then, you have a slew of elected Republicans boycotting the convention.

The Ohio Governor Kasich refuses to honor Ohio police union request to implement a temporary open carry ban for the convention.

Of course, any good Michigan GOP gubernatorial candidate would definitely show up to speak, like Attorney General Bill Schuette.

Lt. Governor Brian Calley was not so bold to speak at the convention, but he and Governor Rick Snyder popped into Ohio to support the delegation.

Here we have identified a series of plausible factors, ruling out any situations of emergencies, to justify the sharing of resources.

I am calling this a blatant partisan use of taxpayer dollars and public resources for political campaign purposes.

Kasich is just as culpable.

The optics have Rick Snyder endorsing Donald Trump.

So, where are "The Elected Ones"?

Out campaigning, oblivious to what is actually going on in Michigan, as usual.

LANSING, MI (WLNS) – Tens of thousands of people will be getting ready to head to Cleveland next week for the Republican Convention, and more than 100 Michigan State Troopers are gearing up as well.

The agency has deployed troopers to other states in the past, mainly for recovery efforts in natural disasters like Hurricane Katrina and Hurricane Sandy, under the Emergency Management Assistance Compact. But this assignment is a unique one.

This is the first time the Michigan State police will be assisting at a political convention and they’ll be going with a mission, to help cover crowd control and security.

Guns, RNC and CPS in Ohio: Waiting For The First Dead Kid

Cleveland police union asks for suspension of 'open carry' in wake of Baton Rouge, ahead of RNC

This is a picture of children playing 40 feet away from the "RNC Convention Gun Advocates", for lack of a better descriptive.

So where are all the child protection, concerned advocates?

Where is Ohio CPS?

But wait...

Ohio's Governor John Kaisch denied the request.

So, if Congress refuses to allow the CDC to study gun violence, then why not have local police jurisdictions do it?

Local police can have their commissioners take the lead, partner with universities, or even better, how about partnering with the largest 501c3 to request funding to study gun violence?  (Snarky snicker)

The New Democratic Poll Tax

Photo published for Sanders and Clinton delegates are struggling to afford attending the Democratic convention | VICE...
The exorbitant costs of attending the Democratic Convention in Philadelphia on July 25-28 this year, is threatening to leave some delegates out in the cold.

But wait!  Have no fear.  The Michigan Democratic Party is having a silent auction and so far it looks like the state party will raise enough money to send...oh, I do not know, perhaps, 2 lucky winners, who are more than likely supporters of the "presumptive nominee".

Which delegates will be eligible for the #MDP trip?

Probably only Superdelegates, you know, those elite delegates, already holding a paying job as elected officials.

Gotta love the new Democratic poll tax.

Just another example in the stripping of voting rights.

Sanders and Clinton delegates are struggling to afford attending the Democratic convention

DNC Convention Costs Leaving Young And Poor Delegates Out In The Cold

The DNC strongly requires delegates to stay at an appointed hotel, and costs for a room start at $569 per night, plus tax and fees, with the hotel requiring a five night minimum, putting base costs for attending the convention in the thousands, effectively shutting out anyone below a certain income bracket.

There were other surprise costs buried in the literature packets distributed to delegates including a “Breakfast and Bash” ticket for $200, which is not technically required, but it’s where the delegate credentials will be handed out. In a further blow to the pocket, all costs must be booked by June 30, a month before the convention, and paid in full by July 17.

“Some are getting nearby cheaper places to stay, which puts them at great risk of not getting past security or receiving their credentials, however they have no other choice as many have just been notified of their delegate status and do not have enough time to fundraise,” Natalie Higley, a California delegate and mother-of-one explained.

Natalie considers herself lucky. As a tier one delegate, she was fairly certain that she was going back in May, so she was able to start her fundraising early. But many delegates aren’t so lucky and have only had a very short amount of time to fundraise. There are others who won’t even know if they’re confirmed to go until after the hotel cut-off date.

Younger and poorer delegates have taken to the internet in an attempt to crowd-source funds for their trip, with mixed success. Donors have expressed concern that they can’t always check the credentials of the various delegates who are asking for money, and thus are leaving themselves open to fraud.

Children As U.S. Human Shields

I really do not see the issue here.  The United States violates the Convention on the Rights of the Child everyday because poverty is considered child abuse and neglect, subject to termination of parental rights.

The U.S. has the art of holding babies up to shield themselves from attack down to a science.

If the United States complied with the CRC, then, child welfare as we know it would cease to exist.  The lobbying entities and corporate interests are too powerful to allow any form of compliance for that would end foster care as we know it.

One area of the CRC the U.S. refuses to comply is with uniform language such as 'reasonable efforts' and "best interests of the child' because it conflicts with corporate interests of pharmaceuticals.

Other areas the U.S. fails to comply are with ecological standards in manufacturing, crying it will harm children.

Then there is the issue of child sex-trafficking.  The U.S. just cannot seem to prosecute and regulate the way most other countries do, or at least try.

The United Nations is weak when it comes to treaty enforcement with the U.S. so this accusation against Israel is quite anemic.

This is why there are so-called parental rights groups protesting U.S. compliance to the CRC equating gun rights to parental rights.  They use the child as a human shield, funded by special interests.  Protection of fraud in child welfare.

Compliance means transparency and everyone knows anything dealing with children in the U.S. is a secret....shhhhhh.

UN report accuses Israel of violating the Convention on the Rights of the Child

E-mailPrint
UNICEFIn a statement to mark International Children's Day, the United Nations International Children's Emergency Fund (UNICEF) said Israel is tangible breach of the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child.
The statement, issued on the 21st anniversary of the Geneva Convention to protect children's rights, criticized Israel's failure to uphold international law and honor its obligation to protect children.

The issue of child protection, the report noted, is divided between various Israeli government agencies, and there is no single body that deals with the matter properly.
The organization accused Israel of having no comprehensive strategy to protect the rights of the child and apply the international treaty; noting that Israel excludes the West Bank and Gaza Strip from the application of the Convention, even though they are Occupied Territories subjected to its military control.

SCOTUS Soon To Learn About Parens Patriae

It seems I am not the only one who finds the lack of sophistication regarding parental rights issues with the Supreme Court of the United States (SCOTUS).
.....................................................................................................................................................................
ALERT: SCOTUS IS UNDER NEW MANAGEMENT

For those following the Supreme Court and Federal Court decisions in general it is no surprise that the Courts have been making up law for years. There is no oversight. Bad judges stay on the Court for life, and the right to petition the government and courts for redress has been virtually eliminated as the Supreme Court takes less than 1% of all cases and has absolutely discretion on what cases it will review.

In fact Supreme Court Justices have stated that it is more important to be consistently wrong then to actually get the law right.

Citing unapproved treaty is ‘act of most fundamental reordering of legal system. The fundamentals of the U.S. Constitution possibly have been shoved one step closer to irrelevance by the U.S. Supreme Court, which yesterday cited an international treaty that has not been adopted in the U.S. as support for its opinion...more
.....................................................................................................................................................................
I have nothing against guns but the parental rights groups equate gun rights to parental rights ("own a gun; own a kid, both my property") There is no correlation based upon my statutory investigation of current parental rights and individual property rights theories. They are two distinct and exclusive issues. It is like comparing guns to butter.

This is why there is contention with the U.N. Convention on the Rights of the Child. The U.S., along with Somalia, which, at the time of the signing did not have a recognized government, were the only 2 countries that did not sign the Convention.

The U.S. did not sign because of the language and the application. See, there is language to the effect that would dismantle the current child welfare system, such as "legal orphans", and there are standard, universal definitions to "reasonable efforts" and "best interests". The US would no longer be able to statutorily apply "failure to provide for the necessary needs of the child" as grounds for removal and the Convention provides language where it is the responsibility of government to provide assistance when that assistance cannot be provided by the parent.

Also, there are issues with the Convention application to child sexual predators because the US is far behind the nations with regard to enforcement, falling under human trafficking.

Then, lest we not neglect to mention that the U.S. is notorious for using child labor issues as grounds for noncompliance of international economic and environmental concerns as a reason not to sign a treaty. An example of this can be seen with the non-signing of the Kyoto Treaty.

Citing of the Convention, would make sense, to me at least, as there is no mention or reference to children in the Constitution. Children were considered chattel at the time of the drafting of the Constitution. Children were considered persons at the time of the drafting of the Convention.  Another example of trying to compare of guns to butter.  The relationships are causal, not comparative.

In the case of Abbott v. Abbott, I feel it is my duty to point out the egregious interpretations of the opinion by the parental rights groups.  The Convention that was referenced was the Hague Convention on the Civil Aspects of International Child Abduction (Convention), Oct. 24, 1980, T. I. A. S. No. 11670, S. Treaty Doc. No. 99–11. The United States is a contracting state to the Convention; and Congress has implemented its provisions through the International Child Abduction Remedies Act (ICARA), 102 Stat. 437, 42 U. S. C. §11601 et seq. The Convention provides that a child abducted in violation of “rights of custody” must be returned to the child’s country of habitual residence, unless certain exceptions apply. Art. 1, S. Treaty Doc. No. 99–11, at 7 (Treaty Doc.).

The Abbott v. Abbott SCOTUS opinion was not referencing the Convention on the Rights of the Child, but the Convention on the Civil Aspects of International Abduction by applying the codified statute.
Abbott v Abbott SCOTUS Opinion

Ignorance has fueled parental rights groups to confuse "guns with butter" as it is now clarified that the "Convention" is the Civil Aspects of International Adoption and not the Rights of the Child(emphasis added).

Ignorance has left SCOTUS reliant upon populist opinion regarding parental rights, which is repugnant to current law.

Knowledge of parental rights may only be gained through the release of this upcoming book.

The doctrine called parens patriae translates to father of the nation or father of the country. This is where the king or in america the state (or sovereign) assumes a parental role over all children. Under this theory which the U.S. (and SCOTUS) apparently now subscribes to, children do not belong to the parents, but are in essence lent to the parents by the state (or sovereign) as long as the parents conduct themselves in a manner acceptable to the state. Thus under this theory parental rights are derived from the government where government has the power to grant the gift of custody and guardianship to the keepers of the child (whoever the state determines the keepers of the child should be). Thus the state also has the power to terminate that grant of gift of custody. Thus the grant or gift becomes movable and children chattel or property.
