Children As U.S. Human Shields

I really do not see the issue here.  The United States violates the Convention on the Rights of the Child everyday because poverty is considered child abuse and neglect, subject to termination of parental rights.

The U.S. has the art of holding babies up to shield themselves from attack down to a science.

If the United States complied with the CRC, then, child welfare as we know it would cease to exist.  The lobbying entities and corporate interests are too powerful to allow any form of compliance for that would end foster care as we know it.

One area of the CRC the U.S. refuses to comply is with uniform language such as 'reasonable efforts' and "best interests of the child' because it conflicts with corporate interests of pharmaceuticals.

Other areas the U.S. fails to comply are with ecological standards in manufacturing, crying it will harm children.

Then there is the issue of child sex-trafficking.  The U.S. just cannot seem to prosecute and regulate the way most other countries do, or at least try.

The United Nations is weak when it comes to treaty enforcement with the U.S. so this accusation against Israel is quite anemic.

This is why there are so-called parental rights groups protesting U.S. compliance to the CRC equating gun rights to parental rights.  They use the child as a human shield, funded by special interests.  Protection of fraud in child welfare.

Compliance means transparency and everyone knows anything dealing with children in the U.S. is a secret....shhhhhh.

UN report accuses Israel of violating the Convention on the Rights of the Child

UNICEFIn a statement to mark International Children's Day, the United Nations International Children's Emergency Fund (UNICEF) said Israel is tangible breach of the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child.
The statement, issued on the 21st anniversary of the Geneva Convention to protect children's rights, criticized Israel's failure to uphold international law and honor its obligation to protect children.

The issue of child protection, the report noted, is divided between various Israeli government agencies, and there is no single body that deals with the matter properly.
The organization accused Israel of having no comprehensive strategy to protect the rights of the child and apply the international treaty; noting that Israel excludes the West Bank and Gaza Strip from the application of the Convention, even though they are Occupied Territories subjected to its military control.
