DOJ Sues Google But Boo Boo Barr Has His Own Tales He Has Yet To Tell

Oh, the antitrust lawsuit against Google is far more protracted that what Boo Boo Barr is presenting.

Statement of the Attorney General on the Announcement Of Civil Antitrust Lawsuit Filed Against Google

Attorney General William P. Barr released the following statement:

“This morning the Department of Justice, along with eleven states, filed a civil lawsuit against Google for unlawfully maintaining a monopoly in general search services and search advertising in violation of the U.S. antitrust laws.  This is a monumental case for the Department of Justice and, more importantly, for the American consumer.

Today, millions of Americans rely on the Internet and online platforms for their daily lives.  For years, there have been broad, bipartisan concerns about business practices leading to massive concentrations of economic power in our digital economy.  Hearing those concerns, I have made it a primary commitment of my tenure as Attorney General for the Department of Justice to examine whether technology markets have been deprived of free, fair, and open competition.

To that end, the Department of Justice formally opened a review of online market-leading platforms in July 2019.  One part of this review is the Antitrust Division’s investigation of Google.  Over the course of the last 16 months, the Antitrust Division collected convincing evidence that Google no longer competes only on the merits but instead uses its monopoly power – and billions in monopoly profits – to lock up key pathways to search on mobile phones, browsers, and next generation devices, depriving rivals of distribution and scale.  The end result is that no one can feasibly challenge Google’s dominance in search and search advertising.

This lack of competition harms users, advertisers, and small businesses in the form of fewer choices, reduced quality (including on metrics like privacy), higher advertising prices, and less innovation.

The complaint filed today against Google is based on violations of the U.S. antitrust laws and is separate and distinct from concerns raised about content moderation and political censorship by online platforms.  As part of the Department’s broader review of market-leading online platforms, we listened to myriad public concerns about how online platforms fail their users.  While many of the concerns we heard were competition-related, others were not – like online child exploitation, public safety, and censorship.  Outside the Antitrust Division, the Department has considered these issues separately, including by advocating for Section 230 legislative reforms.  Our antitrust investigation of Google, by contrast, is based solely on traditional antitrust principles and is aimed at promoting consumer welfare through robust competition.

Twenty-five years ago, the Department of Justice sued Microsoft, paving the way for a new wave of innovative tech companies – including Google.  The increased competition following the Microsoft case enabled Google to grow from a small start-up to an Internet behemoth.  Unfortunately, once Google itself gained dominance, it resorted to the same anticompetitive playbook.  If we let Google continue its anticompetitive ways, we will lose the next wave of innovators and Americans may never get to benefit from the “next Google.”  The time has come to restore competition to this vital industry.

Today’s challenge against Google – the monopoly gatekeeper of the Internet – shows the tremendous efforts of the Department, in particular the hardworking men and women of the Antitrust Division, and our state partners to restore competition in markets beholden to an unlawful monopolist.  This is an important milestone, but not the end of our review of market-leading online platforms.  The Department will continue to vigorously investigate and enforce the antitrust laws where appropriate to protect and promote competition in the digital economy for the benefit of the American consumer.”

Prelude To Detroit: Buzzfeed & CNN Find Out Through FOIA That You Cannot Hack A Handwritten Letter

Jason Leopold has yet to tell us how Cernovich came into possession of his Confidential Congressional Documents, which were published by Buzzfeed, to assassinate a character in the act of blasphemy.

So, who was this FBI Special agent who had to give White House Counsel the FBI director's email address, who then, generated a missive, got Trump to approve and sign, then deliver to a third party, a letter of termination,  on the other side of town, in under four minutes?

It is simply magical, like how Michigan Attorney General Bill *Smooches* Schuette was able to get Michigan Emergency Manager Kevyn Orr to file the Detroit Fake Ass Bankruptcy within minutes of him representing the State of Michigan in the Court of Claims.

I just do not know why I want to say JonesDay.

It is almost like filing a fake ass letter of resignation in D.C. when you are in Detroit.

Manafort had lots of Corporate Shape Shifting Rock Financial mortgages, you know, but rumor has it MERS is still under SIGTARP investigation and there is also an internal audit going on of the mysteriously roaming mortgages, but hey, what do I know?

New FBI Documents From Mueller’s Russia Investigation Reveal What Witnesses Said About Trump

BuzzFeed News filed a public records lawsuit to get the documents Robert Mueller used to write his report. Today, we are publishing the ninth installment of what witnesses in the investigation told Mueller’s team.

A new cache of witness interview summaries from special counsel Robert Mueller’s two-year probe into Russia’s interference in the 2016 presidential election was released Monday in response to Freedom of Information Act lawsuits by BuzzFeed News and CNN.

Key Takeaways:

  • These documents include five pages of Jared Kushner’s FBI interview summary — but all five are completely redacted. The FBI’s notations indicate that much of the material relates to an ongoing law enforcement investigation. Senior Assistant Special Counsel Andrew Goldstein told Kushner that answering a question with “I don’t recall” if he indeed did recall was considered a lie.
  • Interview summaries for former deputy national security adviser K.T. McFarland, former White House lawyer and senior Justice Department official James Burnham, and former Stone associate Randy Credico are also almost entirely redacted. McFarland and Credico’s summaries include markings that indicate redacted information relates to ongoing investigations.
  • A chunk of the 412 pages of interview summaries relates to the special counsel’s investigation of Roger Stone. That material had been withheld during Stone’s prosecution, but now that it has ended — with a 40-month prison sentence that Trump commuted — the documents are being released. They are still heavily redacted.
  • The documents indicate that in the fall of 2017, the accountant for Michael Cohen, Trump’s longtime lawyer, was under the impression that Cohen was getting a White House job and “needed to liquidate his assets.” Cohen did not get an administration position.
  • Michael Cohen used to refer to himself as “Trump’s pitbull” — before he flipped on his former boss and cooperated with Mueller — and according to his accountant, even had a statue of himself in his office bearing that title.
  • An Ohio woman who caught the attention of the special counsel’s office because in 2016 she renamed her Twitter account @Guccifer2 — after the character credited with hacking and leaking Democratic emails — told the FBI she had created the account to see if it would be censored by Twitter.
  • One witness whose name was redacted told investigators that before the Miss Universe pageant, Trump “would have all of the contestants line up on stage and then he would ask them questions about each other.” Most people would be cleared out of the room for this exchange, which was recorded, the witness said.

These documents, known as FBI 302s, shed light on what Trump administration officials and campaign staffers, as well as other people close to the president, told federal law enforcement agents about events during and after the campaign. In the last set of summaries that were released, one witness said people in Trump’s “orbit” didn’t care whom they hurt, believed their “deep state narrative,” “read books like ‘The Turner Diaries,’” and “downloaded military manuals from the internet.”

A person whose name was withheld on privacy grounds told investigators during an Aug. 11, 2017 interview that after the 2016 election Trump's "hardest" supporters were "shut out" of the new administration by the Republican National Committee, which cut a deal with Reince Priebus, the former White House chief of staff.

"They had many favors to repay the Committee. Trump gave Priebus a chance but Priebus didn't get the healthcare bill passed," the person told Mueller's investigators.

On Nov. 21, 2017, an FBI agent and two lawyers from Mueller’s office interviewed Jeffrey Getzel, who had worked as an accountant for Trump’s former lawyer and fixer Michael Cohen. Getzel was under the impression that Cohen was up for a job in the White House. He told investigators that roughly a month to a month and a half before the interview, someone (whose name is redacted) told Getzel that Cohen “was going to the White House and that COHEN needed to liquidate his assets.”

Getzel said he respected Cohen’s “significant position” in the Trump Organization. He noted to investigators that Cohen had a statue of himself in his office with the phrase, “Trump’s pitbull” written on it, a phrase that Cohen used to describe himself in the past, according to CNN.

A White House job never materialized, though. Cohen would eventually turn on his former boss and cooperate with Mueller’s investigation. He pleaded guilty to financial crimes unrelated to his dealings with Trump as well as campaign finance violations related to his role orchestrating hush-money payments to two women who claimed to have had affairs with Trump.

Getzel told investigators that Cohen was “an extremely sharp individual,” but also a “difficult client” who didn’t pay his bills on time. Cohen “resented paying taxes more than most people” that Getzel did work for, he said, and would pay penalties at the end of the year rather than paying quarterly estimated taxes.

Much of Getzel’s interview summary is redacted, but one section makes clear that he spoke with Mueller’s team about Essential Consultants, the corporate entity that Cohen created to facilitate the hush-money payments. Getzel said that if he’d known more about Essential Consultants, he would have “pushed harder to encourage COHEN to include his interest in the company” in a personal financial statement.

Getzel knew about another corporate entity that Cohen recently created, Michael D. Cohen & Associates P.C. Getzel told investigators that he didn’t think the company had “any real value” because its only client was Trump, ”who had a propensity for firing people.” The Washington Post reported Cohen used that business to pitch himself as a consultant to companies based on his close ties to Trump.

“As such,” the summary reads, “MDCPC was not really a company COHEN could sell to anyone.”

One of the interview summaries is of Cassandra Ford, an Ohio woman who caught the attention of the special counsel's office because in 2016 she renamed her Twitter account @Guccifer2, after the character credited with hacking and leaking Democratic emails. Ford's identity and the interest she attracted from Mueller's investigators were first revealed in October 2018, in an article in BuzzFeed News.

Ford was interviewed by the FBI in April 2018. In the six-page summary of that encounter, much of which is redacted on privacy grounds, she explained why she created @Guccifer2 and chose to give the impression that she was Russian.

"In creating her own twitter account @Guccifer2, Ford wanted to see of the account would be censored by Twitter, because of the notoriety of Guccifer2.0," the interview summary said. She went on to say that she chose the Volgograd time zone for her Twitter account in order to “appear to be Russian.”

Screenshot of the Mueller Memos
Obtained by BuzzFeed News
“Ford used the photo of Felix Dzerzhinsky as her Twitter profile photo. Ford read in the article on Smoking Gun that some of the documents released by Guccifer2.0 persona had the name of Dzerzhinsky on internet and thought he had a ‘creative background,’” the summary said.

In a separate interview, the Republican strategist Jason Miller, who was chief spokesperson of Trump’s 2016 presidential campaign, told the FBI he sought assistance from the Republican National Committee in 2016 poring over the hacked Democratic National Committee emails that WikiLeaks released. Moreover, he said he recalled hearing stories “about there potentially being a tape in which Trump used the ‘N-word."’ When the campaign learned it was the infamous Access Hollywood tape, Miller said he and the campaign went into damage control. He said he was responsible for disseminating the statement that Trump’s “grab em by the pussy” line “amounted to locker room talk.”

Although the Mueller investigation led to 37 indictments and seven convictions, Trump has aggressively sought to discredit it, repeatedly referring to it as a “witch hunt.” His efforts have been supported by Attorney General Bill Barr, who has intervened in several cases related to the investigation, including the prosecutions of former national security adviser Michael Flynn and political consultant Roger Stone. Last year, Barr also tapped a US attorney in Connecticut, John Durham, to investigate the origins of the Russia probe.

Last month — after Trump commuted Stone’s prison sentence and referred to the probe as a “hoax” and “witch hunt” that the “Left and its allies in the media perpetuated for years in an attempt to undermine the Trump Presidency” — Mueller broke his silence by writing an op-ed in the Washington Post defending his investigation. In June, in response to a separate lawsuit filed by BuzzFeed News and the Electronic Privacy Information Center, a previously blacked-out portion of the Mueller report was disclosed; it showed that Mueller’s team suspected Trump had lied to investigators in his written responses to their questions about Stone.

The final 448-page Mueller report, released in April 2019, was the most hotly anticipated prosecutorial document in a generation. But it reflected only a tiny fraction of the primary-source documents that Mueller’s team had amassed over the course of its two-year probe; much of the content of the typewritten interview summaries taken by the special counsel’s office has never before been reviewed publicly. A month after the report was released, BuzzFeed News sued the FBI and the Department of Justice, seeking access to those records. That litigation was subsequently joined by CNN.

In October, a federal judge ordered the release of the documents, and the two agencies began releasing 302s last November. Under the court order, records must be disclosed every month; to date, the government has produced about 3,000 pages of summaries from interviews with more than 500 witnesses who spoke to Mueller’s team during the course of the investigation.

The vast majority of the 302s have been heavily redacted, leaving vast swaths of information about what witnesses told investigators obscured from view. BuzzFeed News has challenged some of those redactions, arguing in court that one category of exemption the government has cited to justify the withholdings was legally unfounded, politically motivated, and implemented solely to protect the president.

Prelude To Detroit: Google Gets A New Antitrust Attorney - Halimah DeLaine Prado, Juvenile Law Center & Michigan Sex Offender Registration Act

H/O: Halimah DeLaine Prado, new General Counsel at Google
Halimah DeLaine Prado
Getting a new attorney does not absolve one from lying into the public record.

Halimah is from the Juvenile Law Center.

This is getting interesting, but, we shall see what she does, as we are dealing with the industry of trafficking tiny humans.
Halimah DeLaine Prado is a Vice President of Legal at Google LLC. Prior to joining Google, Halimah practiced media law and products liability law at Dechert LLP and Levine Sullivan Koch and Schulz (now Ballard Spahr). She also clerked for the Honorable Mary A. McLaughlin of the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania.
Halimah graduated from Yale University with a B.A. in Political Science and later obtained her J.D. from Georgetown. Halimah is passionate about education and juvenile rights, having served on various boards that address these issues, including the board of the Juvenile Law Center. When not working, she enjoys traveling with her husband and two daughters.
Just as a point of interest, I thought it prudent to note that my blog is run on google, for I am quite sure Halimah already knows this, as google would never bleachbit the public record....they may just face an situation in the termination of their corporate parental rights to keep and bear the arms of the United States....

Google names Halimah DeLaine Prado new general counsel as antitrust cases loom

Google has promoted Halimah DeLaine Prado, vice president of legal, as its new general counsel.

Prado will take on legal duties previously held by Kent Walker, a senior vice president, the company said.

The new appointment comes at a time the company faces intense antitrust scrutiny.

Halimah DeLaine Prado is the new General Counsel at Google.

Google has a new head general counsel, company legal exec Halimah DeLaine Prado.

The company announced Tuesday that Prado will be taking over legal duties from Kent Walker, a senior vice president, effective immediately. The company promoted Walker to senior vice president of global affairs in 2018, where he took on extra responsibilities, including overseeing Google's policy, legal, trust and safety, and corporate philanthropy teams.

The latest appointment comes as the company faces potential antitrust cases against it this year. Google is reportedly expecting a lawsuit from the U.S. Department of Justice, focused on its dominance in online advertising and search. Last month, Alphabet and Google CEO Sundar Pichai joined CEOs of Amazon, Apple and Facebook at the House Judiciary subcommittee on antitrust for a four-hour questioning session about the company's competitive practices. That was followed by the release of trove of internal emails.

Prado will oversee legal responsibilities and teams, reporting directly to Walker, the company said.

In a statement, Walker said: "Halimah has been a trusted counselor and exceptional leader, having navigated a variety of cross-product and company-wide issues over the course of her nearly 14-year career at Google. She is uniquely qualified to lead the Legal Department at this critical moment, and I look forward to working with her as we enter this next chapter."

Before the new appointment, Prado oversaw Google's global team that worked on legal counseling for Google products including advertisements, Search and YouTube, the company said. She's been at Google since 2006.

The company said she is not taking on a replacement role for Alphabet's longtime chief legal officer, David Drummond, who in January retired after he was the subject of shareholder lawsuit alleging misconduct.

Children on the registry – including some as young as 8 years old – face residency and employment restrictions as well as barriers to education; suffer the stigmatization of being labeled a sex offender; and can face possible incarceration for failing to meet onerous registration and reporting requirements.4 A 2013 Human Rights Watch report examined the grave consequences befalling registered youth.5 Over 85% of these youth reported serious mental health issues or suicidal ideation. A 2017 study revealed that registered children are nearly twice as likely to have experienced an unwanted sexual assault that involved contact or penetration in the past year when compared to nonregistered children who have also engaged in harmful or illegal sexual behaviors.6 They are also five times more likely to report having been approached by an adult for sex in the past year.7 Children on sex offender registries are four times more likely to report a recent suicide attempt than non-registered children who have engaged in harmful or illegal sexual behavior.8 Many registered youth also experience vigilantism in their communities, with 52% reporting harassment and physical violence directed at them. Accessing and maintaining housing is also a major barrier for both registered youth and their families. Over 44% of children experienced homelessness as a result of the restrictions placed on their housing due to registration.9 Almost all registered individuals face financial challenges and barriers to employment. In some states, registration fees are so prohibitive that many fall out of compliance and face incarceration.

The Juvenile Law Center has only enhanced the industry of trafficking tiny humans, through juvenile justice, in the sense that they only address the latest and greatest hot button issues, and have, not once engaged me.

I reached out to them many moons ago.

They never got back, but I do recall a spirited dialectic.

They were "Legal Geniuses" (trademark pending).

I told my Sweetie about them.

They never even had the courtesy of reaching out to him, which means they are Meanies, but I do not know Halimah, so I shall reserve my angst for that moment she starts her magical cloaking of what they do in the realms of antitrust.

Now, as for Google, well, they just cannot stop bearing false witness into the public record.

I was sitting right there, in shock, when they first spoke in the public record about their search algorithms, because, what they were doing, flew right over the Members' heads, which is why I do what I do.

As of this very moment, the search function is just a hot mess, but, it may be due to the fact that I am on legacy mode, because the new mode is severely lacking on the ability to see individual datum, but data visualization in pretty pictures in the new blogger, but I digress.

This case is currently being weaponized by one of our most favorite  "Legal Genius" (trademark pending), Cernovich, because he is the progenitor of #pizzacrap and the promulgator of #MeToo.

In a nutshell, a group of young men were individually convicted under the Michigan Child Welfare System of governance in the courts for, not to make light of the situation, "dating" girls who were over the four year range of the age of consent, meaning, according the suit, were anywhere from 14 years to 17 years of age, where, the perpetrators were in median of 18 years.

Some of the John Does came out of Foster Care.

Some of the John Does were in the hands of Those Who Like To Do Nasty Things To Tiny Humans.

Many of the Plaintiffs were sentenced under Michigan HYTA Law, for juveniles between the ages of 17 and 24.

For the simple fact these individuals came out child welfare, I take pause as to what Cernovich is rallying in nefarious cyberverse.

Michigan also has a Central Registry of Child Abuse and Neglect, but we have already covered these databases.

There was another issue that triggered me, and that was the fact that I saw gerrymandering.

These juveniles must register on the Michigan Sex Offender Registry, which is a label for life.

This SORA label is in google.

These juveniles use google maps to see where are the restricted zones on where they may reside.

That means google controls data for gerrymandering, and we all know what gerrymandering is.

So, since we have Halimah at the helm, and I am quite sure she has just finished reading this post, let us sit back to see what she is going to do, particularly, when dealing with Cernovich and his pizzacrappers, because they were all mean to my Sweetie, including the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops, which are the overlords for these foreign, privatized, Foster Care to Juvenile Justice Pipelines.

Marion "Motor City Booty Clapper" Brown's Daughter, Nailah Ellis Expands Her Congressionally Brewed Tea Business With Kevin Hart

Nailah Ellis & Kevin Hart
I shall assume Marion "Motor City Booty Clapper" Brown is quite elated that her daughter, Nailah Elllis has successfully launched her corporate career with the investment of Kevin Hart.

Nailah started to brew her congressional tea in the office some number of years ago.

I wonder how her mother is doing.

We should ask Lisa Bloom.

Perhaps, we should ask Mike Cernovich how she is doing and how he got his hands on those confidential congressional forged documents.

We must definitely ask Cernovich how much he made.

I wonder how much Motor City Booty Clapper made.

We could ask her cousin, Elisa Grubbs, but we cannot ask Fat Ass because he got exiled from humanity by the cooties.

Hollywood’s Kevin Hart Partners With Detroit Beverage Maker Nailah Ellis

Superstar comedian Kevin Hart is investing in Detroit beverage maker Nailah Ellis and Ellis Island Tea.

Ellis Island Tea is an all-natural beverage, handcrafted from a recipe inspired by

Ellis’s Jamaican great-grandfather, who came to America through Ellis Island more than 100 years ago. Made with real herbs, including hibiscus, Ellis Island Tea is rich, red, smooth and flavorful.

The story always matters to Hart. An artist and an author, Hart knows an audience looks for truth and a way to connect. So, when Ellis introduced him to her family tea, he was intrigued.

The tea’s history and Ellis’s own backstory of starting with nothing at the age of 20, brewing tea in her mother’s kitchen and selling it from the trunk of her car around Detroit resonated with Hart. Hart’s own story is one of resilience and perseverance – working small clubs and honing his craft for years before becoming a bankable star who commands $10 million-plus a movie.

“There were a lot of people pulling for Nailah,” said Hart, who was impressed by the Detroiter’s determination and hustle. “Her name just kept coming up and coming across my radar. So, I figured there had to be something to it.”

Ellis won BET’s Queen Boss business competition and her company’s growth has been chronicled in national media, including The Wall Street Journal, Forbes, MSNBC, The Financial Times, The Root 100 and Black Enterprise. Accolades and awards have poured in, but Ellis has always focused on building a business that endures.

Today, Ellis has her own Detroit beverage production facility and is the largest Black female beverage manufacturer in the United States. Her tea is an emerging national brand sold by retail giants Sam’s Club and Costco and airport concessioners across the country.

Hart’s investment comes at a critical time – Ellis Island Tea will be rolling out in Walmart this month and will soon debut in Target and CVS.  With Hart’s backing, sleek new packaging, competitive pricing, and new e-commerce options, Ellis expects rapid growth.

Ellis has always given a nod to the man who inspired the recipe for Ellis Island Tea – her Jamaican

Great-Grandfather Cyril Byron.”Cyril’s story is one of a true risk taker. He came here with nothing but his dreams,” Ellis said. “He went on to become a head chef on Marcus Garvey’s Black Star Line and then the owner of Byron Caterers, one of the most successful Black-owned catering businesses in the Bronx.”

Cyril was an optimist, an activist, an entrepreneur and a pragmatist, she said. When he passed down his tea recipe for future generations, Cyril said ‘This recipe is to be sold, not told.’

Hart also is a big believer in building for the future. The soon-to-be father of four has said that “You’re supposed to set up for the next generation…if you’re not doing that, you’re not doing your part.”

Ellis takes that seriously as well. She is building upon the dreams of her ancestors, hoping to pass on a legacy to her two young daughters. She’s also proud to be providing jobs for Detroiters like herself.

“We all need opportunity,” she said. “I’ve been given mine and now I’m paying it forward and providing that for others.”

Brenda Jones v. Rashida Tlaib - #MeToo Takes A Dark Turn In Detroit

Yes, Nancy Pelosi and her rogue ass crew are prepared to throw Rashida Tlaib under the bus.

Yes, they planned it which is probably why Brenda Jones won the 2018 Special Election and Rashida won the 2018 General Election for the Michigan 13th Congressional District.

Cocktails & Popcorn: Nancy Pelosi Is Prepared To Throw The #MeToo Girls Under The Bus - In Detroit

Ian Conyers wanted to run in the 2020 election, but that is not going to happen because he was mean to my Sweetie.

Brenda Jones, Mayor Pro Tem of Detroit City Council, sits on the Election Commission, who certifies elections.

Brenda refused to resign from City Council when she ran as a congressional candidate, but had no problem certifying her own election, when that election was riddled with incompetence in administration, fraud, and your basic espionage, making her illegitimately elected for that 8 day period in D.C.

Then, in the same breath of that same 2018 election, Brenda certified the election for Rashida, who is also unduly elected.

This means the entire Michigan 2018 election is nullified, if only there was due process.

This also means the 2016 election is nullified because she certified that jacked up election, too, and never once allowed all the complaints due process.

As Detroit carried the State of Michigan in elections, having the highest concentration of voters in the state, Governor Gretchen Whitmer is also unduly elected, but, hey, what do I know?

I know Trump continues to obstruct justice by keeping those IG Reports in his backpocket.

So the moral of the story is.... Do not be mean to my Sweetie.

Brenda Jones files papers suggesting she's running against Rep. Rashida Tlaib

WASHINGTON — Detroit City Council President Brenda Jones appears to be running for Congress again this year, though she hasn't made any formal announcement.

On Saturday, a political tracking website called Poltics1.com posted on Twitter that Jones, who lost a close race to U.S. Rep. Rashida Tlaib, D-Detroit, in 2018, had filed paperwork with the Federal Election Commission indicating she is a candidate in 2020.

The paperwork was dated Wednesday.

Former state Sen. Ian Conyers, D-Detroit, who also ran against Jones and Tlaib for the Democratic nomination to Michigan's 13th Congressional District, noted Jones' apparent entry into the race on his own feed on Twitter, saying it was "great news" for the district.

MI CD-13. Detroit City Council Pres Brenda Jones (D), who narrowly lost 2018 primary to now-freshman Cong Rashida Tlaib (D), has filed amended FEC paperwork indicating she is planning 2020 rematch primary run vs Tlaib.

https://docquery.fec.gov/pdf/651/202003189203868651/202003189203868651.pdf

Jones' own campaign website and Twitter feed were silent on her possible aspirations, however.

Two years ago, Jones lost in the Democratic primary in the predominantly Democratic district to Tlaib, a former state representative and civil rights lawyer, by 900 votes — about 1% of the total — to be the nominee for the full two-year term in Congress beginning January 2019.

That race, however, included a crowded field of six candidates that split the vote, causing some analysts to believe that if the field had been more narrow, Jones' chances would have been better.

That expectation was supported by the fact that in a somewhat smaller four-person field in the race to succeed former U.S. Rep. John Conyers, D-Detroit, for a two-month partial term, Jones beat Tlaib by about 2%, or 1,648 votes, and ended up serving briefly in Congress herself at the end of 2018.

Jones has been a member of City Council since 2005 and entered the nomination fight in 2018 as a potential front-runner, having the backing of Detroit Mayor Mike Duggan and establishment Democrats. But Tlaib put together an aggressive campaign, raising more money than Jones.

Tlaib may be an even more formidable candidate now, having thrust herself into the national spotlight with early calls for President Donald Trump's impeachment and becoming a campaign surrogate for Sen. Bernie Sanders of Vermont in his run for the Democratic presidential nomination.

If Jones is running, she will have until 4 p.m. April 21 to file at least 1,000 valid signatures from the district in support of her candidacy. While it is not normally difficult to get that number of signatures, efforts to collect them this year could potentially be made more challenging by the spread of coronavirus.

DOJ: Former Senior Fincen Employee Pleads Guilty To Conspiring To Unlawfully Disclose Suspicious Activity Reports

For the history of the case, click here.

And here.

Natalie Mayflower Sours Edwards Illegally Repeatedly Transmitted SARs and Other Sensitive Government Information To A Reporter Resulting In Approximately 12 News Articles Over 1-Year Period
Geoffrey S. Berman, the United States Attorney for the Southern District of New York, announced that NATALIE MAYFLOWER SOURS EDWARDS, a/k/a “Natalie Sours,” a/k/a “Natalie May Edwards,” a/k/a “May Edwards,” a former senior adviser at the Treasury Department’s Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (“FinCEN”), pled guilty today to conspiring to unlawfully disclose Suspicious Activity Reports (“SARs”).  EDWARDS pled guilty before United States District Judge Gregory H. Woods.
U.S. Attorney Geoffrey S. Berman said:  “As she has now admitted, Natalie Mayflower Sours Edwards, a former senior-level FinCEN employee, abused her position of trust by agreeing to repeatedly disclose highly sensitive information contained in Suspicious Activity Reports.  Maintaining the confidentiality of SARs, which are filed by banks and other financial institutions to alert law enforcement to potentially illegal transactions, is essential to permit them to serve their statutory function, and the defendant’s conduct violated the integrity of that critical system and the law.”
According to the allegations contained in the Complaint, Information, publicly available information, court filings, and statements made during the plea proceeding:
The mission of FinCEN is to “safeguard the financial system from illicit use and combat money laundering and promote national security through the collection, analysis, and dissemination of financial intelligence and strategic use of financial authorities.”[1]  Among other things, FinCEN manages the collection and maintenance of SARs regarding potentially suspicious financial transactions, which, under the Bank Secrecy Act (“BSA”), U.S. financial institutions and other parties are required by law to generate and deliver to FinCEN.  Under the BSA and its implementing regulations, willful disclosure of a SAR or its contents by government employees or agents is a felony unless necessary to fulfill official duties.
Beginning in approximately October 2017, and lasting until her arrest in October 2018, EDWARDS agreed to and did unlawfully disclose numerous SARs to a reporter (“Reporter-1”), the substance of which were published over the course of approximately 12 articles by a news organization for which Reporter-1 worked (“News Organization-1”).  The illegally disclosed SARs pertained to, among other things, Paul Manafort, Richard Gates, the Russian Embassy, Mariia Butina, and Prevezon Alexander.  EDWARDS had access to each of the pertinent SARs and saved them – along with thousands of other files containing sensitive government information – to a flash drive provided to her by FinCEN.  She transmitted the SARs to Reporter-1 by means that included taking photographs or images of them and texting the photographs or images to Reporter-1 over an encrypted application.  In addition to disseminating SARs to Reporter-1, EDWARDS sent or described to Reporter-1 internal FinCEN emails or correspondence appearing to relate to SARs or other information protected by the BSA, and FinCEN nonpublic memoranda, including Investigative Memos and Intelligence Assessments published by the FinCEN Intelligence Division, which contained confidential personal information, business information, and/or security threat assessments.
At the time of EDWARDS’s arrest, she was in possession of a flash drive on which she saved the unlawfully disclosed SARs, and a cellphone containing numerous communications over an encrypted application in which she transmitted SARs and other sensitive government information to Reporter-1.
*                *                *
EDWARDS, 41, of Quinton, Virginia, pled guilty to one count of conspiracy to make unauthorized disclosures of SARs, which carries a maximum sentence of five years in prison.  EDWARDS is scheduled to be sentenced by Judge Woods on Tuesday, June 9, 2020 at 4:00 p.m.  The maximum potential sentence is prescribed by Congress and is provided here for informational purposes only, as the sentence of the defendant will be determined by the judge.
Mr. Berman praised the investigative work of the Treasury Department’s Office of Inspector General and the Federal Bureau of Investigation.
This case is being prosecuted by the Office’s Public Corruption Unit.  Assistant U.S. Attorneys Kimberly J. Ravener, Daniel C. Richenthal, and Maurene R. Comey are in charge of the prosecution.

Meet Ali "Akbar" Alexander, The Sacrificial Political Operative & His Expertise On The Michigan 2016 Election With Cernovich

https://www.projectveritas.exposed/ali-akbar-alexander
Wow.

I guess Ali is coming to Detroit.

Meet Ali "Akbar" Alexander.

Jack Dorsey Thinks Fringe Figure Ali Akbar Makes ‘Interesting Points’

Ali is contradicting the federal election reports of social media interference.

That is quite ballsy.

Wow.

Ali has no idea of what he is getting himself into so this is going to be fun.

Trump's political campaigns were foreign corporations, not registered with FEC, so Ali is admitting to a federal crime, possibly FARA violations?

Wow.

Keep on testifying, Ali.

Tell it all.

https://www.facebook.com/TheAliAlexander/

Gabe Hoffman has legal actions against Ali.

They are talking about the 2016 election.

Ali is telling us, as a political expert, about how Trump won Michigan.

We must definitely invite Ali to bear witness.

Ali wants to write a book.

That is what they all do when aspiring to ascend the ladder of running paid psyoptics, or rather just paid lying.

Calling it lying is a much more palatable, masticated concept of propaganda to swallow.

Ali packages what is called "influencers", which is just a fancy name for an operative who is willing to engage in nefarious online activities to interfere in elections, like what Ali is talking about of what he did in the 2016 election.

Mueller is probably loving this, but, hey, what do I know?

I know Mike Cernovich has yet to answer the magic questions: "Who gave you those forged, confidential, classified, congressional documents and how much did you make?"

Watch Cernovich sacrifice Ali to the Celestial Goddess of the Woodshed because I would expect nothing less from him.

Do your thing, Mikey.

I am kind of digging on the operative talk show.

Will Buzzfeed Publish The Notes Of Jeannie Rhee - The Mueller Report Working Papers

The DOJ is executing a selective, slow, distractive release of the Mueller notes to Buzzfeed.

Why, you may ask?

Well, Buzzfeed, particularly Jason Leopold, has a few questions which need to be answered regarding the funeral of Monday.

I am waiting for Jeannie Rhee and her notes.

What if all those documents were unsealed after the grand jury votes to indict, a key component of due process, you know?

Buzzfeed publishes 'The Mueller Report’s Secret Memos'

BuzzFeed News published the first tranche of FBI documents related to Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s probe into the 2016 election and Russian efforts to aid Donald Trump’s presidential campaign.

Many of roughly 500 pages of documents – in a package BuzzFeed called “The Mueller Report’s Secret Memos” – relate to interviews with FBI agents. Various email correspondence is also included.

BuzzFeed and CNN sued for access to Mueller’s witness interview notes. In October, a judge ordered the Justice Department to release new tranches of the notes monthly to the two news organizations.

BuzzFeed News published the first tranche of FBI documents related to Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s probe into the 2016 election and Russian efforts to aid Donald Trump’s presidential campaign.

The documents are heavily redacted and feature some of the headline names from the two-year Mueller investigation, including Michael Cohen, Trump’s former attorney and fixer, and former Trump campaign chairman Paul Manafort, both of whom are currently serving federal prison sentences.

More: Mueller documents: Manafort pushed Ukraine hack theory

In one document, former White House chief strategist Stephen Bannon refers to Manafort in an Nov. 5, 2016, email to Jared Kushner, Trump’s son-in-law, days before the presidential election and months after Manafort supposedly parted ways with the campaign.

“We need to avoid this guy like the plague,” Bannon wrote to Kushner. “They are going to try and say the Russians worked with WikiLeaks to give this victory to us. Paul is a nice guy but can’t let word get out he is advising us.”

Manafort had started the email string on the subject of “Securing the Victory,” telling Kushner that he was “really feeling good about our prospects.” Fox News host Sean Hannity was also mentioned in Manafort’s note and in other documents.

Russia, if You’re Listening
Another revelation from the cache was a reflection made to the FBI by Rick Gates, Trump’s former deputy campaign chair, about then-candidate Trump’s infamous comment about Russia in July 2016.

“Russia, if you’re listening, I hope you’re able to find the 30,000 emails that are missing,” Trump said, referring to Hillary Clinton’s deleted messages.

The remark was an ad lib, Gates contended. The same document showed Gates remembering staff conversations that “someone out there” must have the missing Clinton emails.

Gates also said Manafort had offered the theory that Ukraine, not Russia. was behind a June 2016 hack on the Democratic National Committee computers. That idea, which has been discredited by U.S. intelligence agencies, is still pushed by Trump and others, and has become central to the current Democratic impeachment inquiry into the president.

For what country?
In another document posted by BuzzFeed, drawn from the summary of Bannon’s interview with the FBI, the former Goldman Sachs investment banker recalled having first met Trump in 2010. Conservative activist David Bossie, president of Citizens United, was also present, and said that Trump was thinking of running for president in 2012. According to the recap, Bannon asked, “for what country?”

After making requests through the Freedom of Information Act, BuzzFeed and CNN sued the U.S. government for the right to see the primary-source information that Mueller’s team didn’t disclose when it published its 448-page report in March. Justice Department lawyers say the material could run to 18 billion pages.

The process of releasing all the documents monthly will probably take eight or more years.
