Michigan Families, Children, & Seniors Committee Sends Out Public Meeting Notice A Week In Advance Because Daire Rendon Is No Longer Chair

Daire Rendon is no longer Chair, which means the people will, hopefully, no longer be disenfranchised and public notices will go out long before the 48 hour deadline of the Open Meetings Act.

I would like to welcome Kathy Crawford to the world of Medicaid fraud in child welfare because the industry of trafficking tiny humans started in Detroit, Michigan, but I do not have to because she already knows, which means nothing is going to change.

So, buckle up, because DOJ is busy, busy, busy!

This is the traditional Standing Committee Meeting where the career administrators come in and do a presentation to the new committee members to let them know what great job everyone is doing for the children.

The committee members go, "Oooooo....aaaaaa...." then try and ask questions that have absolutely no relevance to child welfare to make themselves look all official and stuff in front of their friends and campaign funders.

I used to go to these introduction meetings.

I have even submitted written and oral testimonies, but no one cares.

Jack Hoegendyk told me once, on the record, to hire an attorney.

I attempted to explain to him that child welfare authority kicks in under the Title IV-A  Poverty Means test, which means, a family cannot afford an attorney.

I then tried to convey the conflict of interest concept with the Attorney General representing the private child welfare agency in the prosecution of child welfare cases, while, at the same exact time, the Attorney General defends the private child welfare agencies, which is why so many kids were being snatched from homes to be raped, drugged as lab rats, tortured, beaten, suicide, attempted suicide, to escape to a life on the streets of human trafficking.

This concept went way over his head, but it was fun to watch.

Jack and his other colleagues ended up giving me carte blanche to all their GOP offices, which is another tale.

Unfortunately, I highly doubt, at this time, that I would be warmly greeted by the committee.

Daire Rendon Has Defeated Children, Families & Me

There comes a time in a person's life when they have to stand up and simply admit that they are defeated.

I give up.

For those of you who are not familiar with my battle to enfranchise the public to gain access for participation in the public meetings of the Michigan House Standing Committee on Families, Children, and Seniors, Chaired by whom I enjoy to affectionately call, "Lil Miss Hot Mess", allow me to walk you down memory lane.

So, since I am defeated in getting my message through the Chair that she needs to provide more than 24 hour notice of a public meeting, well, in this instance it is 47 hour notice, I have decided to redirect my public demand to include opportunity for the population of the state which is subjectively the target of all legislative work coming out of this committee by holding the other members accountable in this regard.

After careful review of the other "The Elected Ones" membership of this committee, I have come to the conclusion that nothing is going to be done to ameliorate the issues of child welfare fraud in the state.

Here, we have the Majority Vice Chair of the Standing Committee, Jeff Noble, who has no problem, whatsoever, to use taxpayer dollars, to produce a promotional video for personal inurement, on the floor of the House, to promulgate "his" personal agenda, and not the prevailing issues of the children of the state, like human trafficking, where his ministry has financial interests.

Of course, I do not make such bold allegations without verification, but it seems he is a purveyor of privatization, of which his tax exempt organization maximizes revenue for compassionate investments in the stock market and venture capital projects to funnel back into his political campaign career.

In short, he benefits by disenfranchising families, children and seniors in poverty, while controlling the agenda of the committee to omit any mention of human trafficking, pervasive fraud in child welfare, and any other issues which would cut the money flow to his congregation.

Next up, we have Mike McCready, who has a strong background in finance.

I am going to give him a pass for now, due to the fact that he openly admits he knows nothing about child welfare and did not really praise Lil Miss Hot Mess as a committee chair.

With that said, since the gentleman is bringing the skills of finance to the table, let us see what he will do to address the pervasive issues of fraud in child welfare through the questionable practices of funneling dark money through privatization schemes of Medicaid.

As for the other members of the committee, I am just going to sit back and monitor their behaviors, as I always do, for, the promulgation of fraudulent privatization policies is a far, more worthy opponent for children, families and me, to defeat..

Yes, that is correct.  

Lil' Miss Hot Mess, the Chair for the Michigan House of Representatives Standing Committee on Families, Children, and Seniors has disenfranchised the residents of Michigan, again.

But, this time, she jacked the seniors.

Giving credit, where credit is not even necessary to acknowledge, LMHM did, at one point in her illustrious career as Chairwoman, did provide public notice of a meeting more than 7 days in advance, but I shall assume the was just a token gesture to appease her colleagues that I had to chastise her.

This is so messed up; neigh, she is the hot mess.

So, tell me, honestly, how would some elderly individuals, or even the caregivers, who wish to participate in the public discussions of Alzheimer's conditions, treatments and services get to the State's great capitol of Lansing, to physically attend the meeting, or just to live stream on social media to people back in their constituent districts, locals, or living rooms, where someone who is concerned could watch the meeting, with a 23 hour and 48 minute public notification of the meeting?

Well, at least there is one thing that can be definitely said about LMHM Rendon, she is an equal opportunity disenfranchiser!

No wonder Michigan has a severely ignored the problem with the soaring rates of poverty.

Without further adieu, I would like to honor Michigan House Representative Daire Rendon (formerly know as LMHM) for her greatest political lifetime achievement, by recognizing this monumental moment of her participation in the concept of open democracy to ameliorate the pervasive situation of childhood poverty in the State of Michigan and to allow the public recording through testimony, of the pandemic patterns of practice with fraud, waste, abuse, and human trafficking through publicly funded child welfare, privatized programs.

Within an hour of the March 23, 2017 Public Meeting of the Michigan House Standing Committee on Families, Children & Seniors, Daire Rendon, has, for the first time in the history of her legislative tenure as the Chair, successfully executed her duties of public office, in the capacity of a public servant, by publishing public notice of the next scheduled meeting, more than 22 hours, in advance.

Ladies and Gentlemen, we have ourselves an open meeting, devoid of another skirting in legal semantics of the Open Meetings Act's 18 hour rule.

This is to mean that the primary stakeholders, "The Poors", will have opportunity to submit into the public record, well in advance of the meeting, for the secondary stakeholders, the privatized contractors, state administrators, fellow committee members, and federal oversight authorities, to prepare, review, and simply vet, the matters on the agenda, for the purposes of engaging in logical and ethical discussions to improve the delivery and quality of services, in the most expedient and efficient manner for improvements in the quality of life and the posterity of the state, to about 50% of the state residents, mainly children in poverty.

Yellen says problems of childhood poverty linger

A new Federal Reserve survey has found that children who grew up in poverty were twice as likely to struggle with financial challenges later in life, Fed Chair Janet Yellen said Thursday.

The survey showed that more than half of young people age 25 to 39 who reported that as children they worried over things like having enough food were currently facing financial challenges, Yellen said. That was double the number with financial troubles who did not face such concerns as children.

Yellen told a Fed conference on community development that the findings underscored the need to provide children with the resources they need to achieve financial success later in life.

In her speech, Yellen made no comments on the current state of the economy or interest rates.

In the survey, which the Fed will publish later this spring, Yellen said there was a clear connection between childhood struggles and financial problems later in life.

"Young adults who regularly or sometimes worried when they were children about care, safety or having enough to eat are also less likely to be employed, less likely to have consistent income month-to-month and less likely to pay all of their current monthly bills in full, compared with those who never or rarely worried about these concerns as children," Yellen said.

Yellen said the research to be presented at the Fed's two-day conference made a compelling case for the need to prepare people starting at an early age for success in the labor market.

"This research underscores the value of starting young to develop basic work habits and skills," she said. "These habits and skills help prepare people for work, help them enter the labor market sooner, meet with more success over time and be in a position to develop the more specialized skills and obtain the academic credentials that are strongly correlated with higher and steadier earnings."

Yellen said a growing body of research showed that greater success was being achieved by addressing workforce development in early childhood education compared to spending on job training later in life.

"Ensuring that all of our kids have 'strong foundations' will help build a similarly strong foundation for the U.S. economy," Yellen said.

"Lil Miss Hot Mess" Daire Rendon  [(a.k.a. LMHM) a term of endearment from folks who work with her] has done it again.

With about 239 minutes to spare, LMHM has posted the public notice of an open meeting, 3 hours and 59 minutes past the 18th hour mark of the statute.

But, wait, the best part is that the meeting is about Medicaid, my field of expertise (fraud, waste and abuse) for this committee, but, alas, I am unable to attend, due to the fact that, again, I do not have enough advanced notice to make arrangements for an entire crew of Michigan stakeholders (a.k.a. "The Poors") who wish to, also, share their subject matter expertise.

It is such a shame the minutes of the previous meeting were never published, again.

I wonder if there is some kind of policy, training program, or investigative entity, that would be so kind to engage LMHM in the ways of running a committee.

Perhaps, the committee would like to contract with me to provide, in depth, instruction on the administration of government, well, we will strictly focus on being the committee chair for the law and policies of the largest section of the state's budget.

So, until LMHM Rendon figures out that she cannot disenfranchise the people from public participation of the Legislature, I am going to continue to advocate for democracy, a public concept which seems to sincerely elude LMHM.

Well, this is interesting.

I recently blasted the Michigan House Standing Committee Chair, Daire Rendon, on her timing of posting public notice of the committee meetings.

Then, on March 9, 2017, there was a 21 hour advanced notice of a meeting that was, as only one can assume, was cancelled, considering there was no cancellation notice.

So, to just put a spoiler alert to the rescheduled meeting, allow me to present the rumored retirement of the most "out-cold blooded" master of cover ups in the State of Michigan in dealing with child welfare fraud, the one, the only, Steve Yager.

Rumor has it Steve Yager, and his legacy are out of here.

So, instead of allowing Steve Yager to go out a hero, I am just going to remind my fans of some of the major milestones which led up to the State being under a court monitor for the way it operates, which I consider nothing more than a criminal operation for federal billing of human trafficking, of which, no one will ever speak upon in a public Standing Committee on Families, Children and Seniors.

Let us just sit back and see if Lil' Miss Rendon will ever be considerate to public input of her Standing Committee Meeting of Families, Children, and Seniors by publishing the minutes of the meeting to announce the next scheduled meeting so citizens may provide testimony into the public record and have enough time to coordinate their calendars and budgets to get up to Lansing.

Her term is young, and ripe for the picking on.

If anyone wishes to be witness to administrative ineptness in the State of Michigan Legislature, well, here is your chance!

Below, is notice, pursuant to the Open Meetings Act to the rescheduling of the House Standing Committee Meeting of Families, Children, and Seniors, Rep. Daire Rendon, Chair.

I was planning on attending, submitting a formal statement, requesting time for public comment, and encouraging people to attend and do the same...but noooooo.

You see, the Open Meetings Act mandates that there is a minimum 18 hours posted advanced notice of the meeting.

This notice was emailed at 1:43 p.m., on March 1, 2017, exactly 2 hours and 47 minutes over the wire.

This is about the time it takes for one to drive during rush hour to the state's capitol, park, find the venue, and be seated.

"The Poors" were intentionally excluded as travel to the capitol is quite expensive and needs more than 21 hour notice to arrange transportation, whether it be public or private.

Now, consider this:

This meeting is what is considered the introduction of the Department of Health and Human Services administration to define and explain the operations of the Department.

Administrators will formally introduce themselves to the newly sworn Representatives and present their duties and roles within the DHHS.

Mind you, DHHS field operations is supposed to provide services to "The Poors", which is about half the state, so, what we have here is an issue of disenfranchisement.

I wonder if they are going to speak upon how the consolidation of DHHS offices is cutting the disabled, veterans, elderly and children from SNAP benefits, without due process.

Will Medicaid fraud in child welfare be discussed?  Probably not.

Will human trafficking, because people just want to survive when the state cuts social assistance, be discussed?  Probably not.

Is it possible for me, of all people, to generate and submit a formal statement into the public record?

Absolutely, because I have a blog, otherwise, it is not happening.

In the past, there was always included in the public notice instruction for the opportunity to submit public comment, but not in this administration nor in this legislature.

So, without further adieu, allow me to introduce myself to the Standing Committee of Families, Children, and Seniors, and Rep. Daire Rendon, Chair.

Excluding the public from public meetings is the first stage of stripping voting rights, or, more readily understood as privatization.

NOTE:  I am not going to give Rep. Daire Rendon a pass as she has been around for a hot minute.

We want more than minutes of the meeting, we want video, published, and social media is acceptable.  We want opportunity for public comment or I will do it for you.

Oops, I, like, totally forgot to mention that any requests for video recording must be made more than 24 hours in advance.

Drats, foiled again by privateers!
