Since Keith has already called for a U.S. House Ethics investigation, that means that there exists a very strong possibility that there is already an ongoing DOJ investigation, because everyone forgets he is friends with my Sweetie.

Basically, what this means is that, if there is an issue with unsubstantiated claims, we have a transposable legal model to apply to those who were forced to resign from Congress in a court of law that would automatically be deferred for a full FBI investigation, which is probably already finished considering it has been going on for quite some time...like it should hurry up and finish...like right now...

MINNESOTA DEMOCRATS’ KEITH ELLISON INVESTIGATION CONCLUDES ABUSE ALLEGATION ‘UNSUBSTANTIATED’: REPORT

An attorney hired by Minnesota Democrats to investigate domestic abuse allegations against Minnesota Democratic Rep. Keith Ellison reportedly concluded the accuser’s claim was “unsubstantiated.”

Ellison’s ex-girlfriend, liberal activist Karen Monahan, accused Ellison of physically and emotionally abusing her during their years-long relationship.

Ellison, the deputy chair of the Democratic National Committee, has been dogged by Monahan’s accusations in his campaign for Minnesota attorney general.

Monahan’s refusal to produce a video she claimed proved Ellison’s alleged abuse led Minnesota attorney Susan Ellingstad “to conclude that the allegation is unsubstantiated,” according to a draft version of Ellingstad’s report obtained by The Associated Press.

“An allegation standing alone is not necessarily sufficient to conclude that conduct occurred, particularly where the accusing party declines to produce supporting evidence that she herself asserts exists,” Ellingstad wrote, according to The AP.

“She has thus repeatedly placed the existence of the video front and center to her allegations, but then has refused to disclose it.”

Ellingstad is the legal partner of Minnesota Democratic-Farmer-Labor Party’s (DFL’s) own attorney, Charlie Nauen.

Ellison’s Republican opponent, Doug Wardlow, previously cast doubt on the validity of Ellingstad’s investigation.

“Keith Ellison is being investigated by the party that endorsed his candidacy after multiple allegations of domestic violence. Any claim that this is an independent investigation is laughable,” Wardlow previously told The Daily Caller News Foundation.

“The investigation report, which was released today without our knowledge by someone outside of our organization, was unable to substantiate the claim of physical abuse made by Ms. Monahan,” DFL chairman Ken Martin said in a Monday statement to NBC News.

“For the purpose of objectivity and getting all of the facts regarding these allegations, we have decided to forward the information in the investigation to local authorities in order to let them review the contents and determine whether further investigation is warranted,” Martin said.

Keith Ellison Calls for House Ethics Investigation Into Allegations Against Him

“I am innocent and eager to see this entire matter resolved,” Minnesota Democrat says

Rep. Keith Ellison is calling for a House Ethics Committee inquiry into allegations of abuse against him made by a former girlfriend.

“I am taking this step now because I am innocent and eager to see this entire matter resolved,” the Minnesota Democrat said in a statement Wednesday.

Ellison has repeatedly denied that he was abusive to his former girlfriend, Karen Monahan, whose son brought the allegations to light in August in a Facebook post.

Monahan has said Ellison abused her both physically and emotionally while they were in a relationship in 2016.

“These allegations have lingered in the public sphere, and remain unsubstantiated. I welcome an investigation by the House to allow us to move on,” the congressman said.

Ellison, the deputy chair of the Democratic National Committee, was the first Muslim to serve in Congress. He is vacating his 5th District seat to run for Minnesota attorney general. He easily won the Democratic-Farmer-Labor primary on Aug. 14, a few days after the allegations broke.

A private attorney has conducted an independent investigation, according to Ellison’s statement, and the results“should be made public soon.” The Minnesota DFL Party chairman said Wednesday the party had completed its own investigation into the allegations and will also be releasing its findings shortly.

Monahan posted to Twitter last week a medical memo in which she told her doctor that Ellison had abused her emotionally and physically.

During the November 2017 doctor’s visit, Monahan claimed she was “in a very stressful environment for years, emotional and physical abuse by a partner with whom she is now separated,” according to the report typed up by physician Jodi Milburn.

Since the alleged abuse took place while Ellison was serving in Congress and he remains a member until the end of the year, the House Ethics Committee has jurisdiction to investigate. In recent years, however, the panel has ended investigations into lawmakers who resigned or retired from the House.

Democratic Minnesota Rep. Keith Ellison wants ex-girlfriend Karen Monahan to know that the two “don’t have to destroy each other” over her claim that Ellison physically abused her.

Monahan, a liberal activist for Sierra Club, accused Ellison of physically and emotionally abusing her and claims to have a video of him dragging her off a bed, although she has yet to produce it.

Ellison is the deputy chair of the Democratic National Committee (DNC) and on Tuesday won the party’s nomination for Minnesota attorney general. He has repeatedly denied Monahan’s
allegations.

A reporter for local Minnesota station WCCO asked Ellison on Wednesday what he would say to Monahan if he could.

“I would say: we loved each other, we don’t have to destroy each other,” Ellison said.

“Is that what you think she is trying to do?” asked the interviewer.

“I don’t know, I don’t want to speculate on motive,” Ellison answered.

Monahan’s son Austin first aired the allegations against Ellison on Saturday and claimed to have witnessed the alleged video of Ellison’s abuse.

“I was using my moms computer trying to download something and I clicked on a file, I found over 100 text and twitters messages and video almost 2 min long that showed Keith Ellison dragging my mama off the bed by her feet, screaming and calling her a ‘fucking bitch’ and telling her to get the fuck out of his house,” Austin wrote in a viral Facebook post.

“Sitting all this time, watching what our mom went through and not being able to say or do anything was hard as hell. None of you know the hell our family has gone through. I don’t think half of you would even care,” Austin added.

“We watched her so called political friends stand by say or do nothing. People had an idea what happened and never reached out to my mom. The same people who are posting about social justice are ready to smear my mom, protect a person who abused her and broke the law.”

Like her son, Monahan has also said that she expects to be smeared for speaking out against Ellison.

“I was well prepared for the smears, etc. It is exactly what I wanted to bring to light,” she tweeted Monday.

“This issue is so much bigger than my story, but with each story that surfaces, we make a dent each time and it brings us closer to justice.”
