Prelude To Detroit: Ivanka Trump Is Here

Welcome!

https://beverlytran.blogspot.com/search?q=Ivanka+Trump

Ivanka Trump to visit GM’s Warren facilities with CEO Mary Barra

President Donald Trump's daughter, Ivanka Trump, will visit General Motors on Wednesday.

Ivanka Trump will tour the Technical Learning University (TLU) located on GM's Global Technical Center campus in Warren, GM said.

GM CEO Mary Barra will lead Trump on a nearly two-hour tour and highlight GM’s commitment to continued workforce training for hourly skilled trades workers and salaried manufacturing engineers, said GM spokeswoman Jeannine Ginivan.

Ivanka Trump's title is advisor to the president.

Ivanka Trump released her new book, "Women Who Work," on May 2, 2017, seeking to fend off ethics concerns by declining to attend promotional events and promising to donate profits to charity.
This is the first time a Trump administration official has visited GM's facilities, although Barra has been to the White House several times to meet with the president.

Barra's most recent visit to the White House was last fall.

Since then, the president has taken potshots at the automaker over Twitter. In April, the president chided GM for dragging its feet in getting lifesaving ventilators to the front lines in the battle against coronavirus.

Then, 72 hours later, Trump changed course, extolling GM after it announced its plans two days prior to make ventilators with Ventec Life Systems at GM's Kokomo, Indiana, plant.

On Monday, GM delivered the last of 30,000 ventilators it owed the federal government as part of a $489-million contract.

The president was also critical of Barra when GM said it would shut down four U.S. factories. On Twitter, Trump urged Barra to keep Lordstown Assembly in Ohio running. But GM closed it and sold the facility, transferring thousands of workers to plants across the United States.

The issue of manufacturing is in the forefront as the election nears. Michigan is a critical swing state that Trump won in 2016, helping him capture the presidency.

GM has repeatedly said it plans to launch at least 20 all-electric vehicles by 2023. It recently unveiled the Cadillac Lyriq SUV, but GM has not said where it will built. GM is spending $2.2 billion to retool Detroit-Hamtramck Assembly to make all-electric vehicles starting later next year. But a source familiar with Cadillac's plans said the Lyriq would not be one of the vehicles made there.

During Ivanka Trump's visit, Barra will tout GM’s TLU, which is based on an initiative that was started in 2017. It is a technical training center that offers a number of programs.

Last month, TLU completed a $2 million upgrade to its manufacturing laboratory facilities.

Michigan Breaks Ground Building The Flint Children's Trust Model - Light Up That Network

The State of Michigan has initiated the first leg in the construction of the children's trusts in the intentional poisoning of Flint's posterity, the children.
preliminary settlement of the

Not the Michigan Children's Trust, but it seems there is a viable option for each child to access their own, individual trust, like a blockchain.

That would be a logical purpose to the contact tracing, considering the fact that Michigan is #1 in the nation when it comes to trafficking tiny humans through its Child Welfare System, which is still under the purview of Nancy Edmunds.

What would be really exciting is to see if the settlement structure continues through the network of those Public Private Partnerships, that were formed as a result of the privatized contracting which falsely advised elected officials.

Just think if, in the continuance of identifying other, private, foreign corporations, there was found suspected violations of law and policy, which were referred to the proper jurisdiction of law enforcement, to provide reparations to the individual trusts of the children?

What about JonesDay and all of those Michigan advisors in Trump's White House Cabinet?

What about #perkinscoiesucks?

Light up that network.

Hey, Mittens, any comments at the Republican National Convention?

I just adore transposable models and I am sure the children will, too.

Michigan reaches over $500M settlement in Flint water crisis civil suits

The state of Michigan has reached a more than $500 million settlement that would put to rest lawsuits arising out of the Flint water crisis, two sources with knowledge of the agreement confirmed Wednesday.

The sources weren't authorized to speak publicly on the matter, which is a significant development in a years-long legal fight that's garnered national attention.

The state of Michigan has reached a more than $500 million settlement that would put to rest lawsuits arising out of the Flint water crisis, two sources with knowledge of the agreement confirmed Wednesday.
Details about the settlement arising out of the Flint lead-contaminated water crisis are expected to be spelled out Friday. The deal comes after several years of litigation in which Flint residents pursued damages from the state for the lead-contaminated water piped into many households.

The settlement would be one of the largest in the state's history.

Marc Edwards, the Virginia Tech professor and water expert who tested city water at Flint households and helped expose the lead contamination, responded quickly to the news of a settlement.

"If money is how government expresses sorrow for its crimes — this is a big apology," Edwards said.

Flint Mayor Sheldon Neeley was not part of the settlement discussions, but he said Wednesday that he is "anxiously awaiting closure."

"We’re just staying positive and moving our community forward in a positive direction," said Neeley, who was a city councilman during the water source switch to the highly corrosive Flint River in 2014.

Flint Councilman Eric Mays called the settlement a “good start.”

“I always believed we would be somewhat successful in the civil lawsuits,” Mays said Wednesday. “I will hold my breath and wait till Friday.

“I believe a major portion of that (money) will go towards kids 5, 6 years old in that age group,” added the councilman, who is a member of the class-action civil lawsuit. “I will be waiting to see what the attorney fee portion might be out of that.”

Ryan Jarvi, a spokesman for Michigan Attorney General Dana Nessel, declined to provide details or confirm a settlement had been reached Wednesday night.

Flint Councilman Eric Mays
Nessel's office and Gov. Gretchen Whitmer's office have been engaged in ongoing mediation effort in Flint water cases for more than 18 months, Jarvi said.

"We and the other parties are bound by a federal court order to maintain the confidentiality of detailed settlement and mediation communications until we reach a certain point," Jarvi said. "We have not yet reached the point where we can discuss a potential settlement."

Nessel said last year that she was in discussions regarding the negotiations with Whitmer and legislative leaders about the settlement, which will likely require lawmakers to appropriate state funds.

The governor's office isn't at the point where it can discuss a potential settlement in the case, Whitmer's spokeswoman Tiffany Brown said Wednesday.

"Since taking office, the governor's and the attorney general's teams have been working steadily to reach a resolution of the Flint water cases, and they continue to do so," Brown said.

Through June 2019, Michigan was the subject of 79 Flint related lawsuits in state and federal court. Over the years, some suits have been consolidated for case management purposes.

It is not clear whether the settlement expected Friday resolves all of the civil suits filed against the state or a majority of them.

The state also had filed its own civil suit against engineering companies that had been hired by the Flint government as consultants when the city switched its water source. Nessel has said she expected any settlement from the lawsuits against Veolia and LAN would offset what the state would eventually pay in the state and federal civil litigation.

The settlement comes as the state faces what experts say could be up to a $3 billion hole in next year's budget because of decreased tax revenue during the coronavirus pandemic.

The state has a fund that it draws settlement money from, but never one of this proportion. The settlement amount calls for the involvement of the Legislature to appropriate more money toward the agreement.

Between 2015 and 2019, the state has pulled $15.1 million from the Lawsuit Settlement Proceeds Fund — a fund containing settlements in favor of the state — for Flint water investigations and legal defense costs alone, according to a January 2019 report by the House Fiscal Agency.

Between 2008 and 2018, the state paid $441.4 million in settlements across all departments, according to a Senate Fiscal Agency report.

The largest settlement in the past 10 years that comes close to the expected Flint deal appears to be an agreement reached in February requiring the Michigan Department of Corrections to pay $80 million to settle a lawsuit with former juvenile offenders who contended they were sexually abused in Michigan prisons. In 1996, the Corrections Department also reached a $100 million resolution in a separate case in which female prisoners alleged sexual misconduct and harassment by male officers.

Michigan Attorney General Dana Nessel
The Flint lawsuits were prompted after the state had appointed a series of emergency managers to operate the city of Flint after years of financial distress. Under state oversight, the city's water source was switched in April 2014 from water provided by the regional Detroit Water and Sewerage Department system to the Flint River. Flint was switched back to the Detroit system in October 2015.

The more acidic river water was not treated with anti-corrosion chemicals upon the advice of Michigan environmental department experts. A panel formed by former Gov. Rick Snyder found that the series of events led to the acidic river water corroding aging city water lines, resulting in the leaching of lead into the drinking water.

Experts have argued the contamination also resulted in two outbreaks of Legionnaires’ disease that resulted in at least 13 deaths in the Flint area.

The expected settlement comes nearly two months after a divided Michigan Supreme Court ruled a class-action lawsuit against the state — one of many civil suits filed after the water contamination — could proceed on the argument that Flint residents should be able to recover the value of their property alleged to have been improperly taken due to the contamination.

Todd Flood, the former special prosecutor for the criminal cases under then-Attorney General Bill Schuette.
Todd Flood, the former special prosecutor for the criminal cases under then-Attorney General Bill Schuette, praised the civil side attorneys and officials “for their steadfast efforts in making sure the victims are whole in the city of Flint and for Gov. Gretchen Whitmer closing this deal and making sure that victims were taken care of.”

“I worked hard with Noah Hall on the civil side of this case to make sure that we could do everything we could,” Flood added. “And that’s the first step in the process of justice."

In June 2019, Solicitor General Fadwa Hammoud dropped all pending criminal cases in Flint in to reboot the probe that had begun under Schuette. Hammoud replaced Special Assistant Attorney General Noah Hall with assistant attorney generals working to defend the state from civil lawsuits.

Nessel had ceded authority over the criminal cases to Hammoud to build a conflict wall between the civil cases, which Nessel oversaw, and the criminal cases, which fell under Hammoud’s purview.

Trials for former Michigan Department of Health and Human Services Director Nick Lyon and former Chief Medical Executive Eden Wells on manslaughter and other charges were dismissed. Charles also were dropped against six other state and Flint officials.

Hammoud’s investigation is still ongoing.

The state needs to shift its focus to criminal prosecutions next and revive charges, Mays said.

"The second step (of justice) will be coming, I’m sure," former special prosecutor Flood said, "with the criminal side of the case. I’m prayerful that that will come.”

Tale Of The New Crown - The Battle Of Parental Rights - Universal Health Is Not National Security When The Emergency Emperor Is Setting Up Procurement Consortia Task Forces

This is a messy.....💓

These people are crying the blues to not change obamacare or Medicaid expansion because they put together all their plans of action for the corona based upon these procurement structures.

Which priority comes first? The billing $yStems or constructing epidemic model for immediate relief to the actual humans who are sick?

I bet they ran cost benefit analysis on loss of live v profits, and profits won.

Mittens Romney is asking about production capacity and that there should be federal funding ready to go to fund the capacity to manufacture vaccines. I saw him get wet. Someone go check out his recent pharma acquisitions. I am going to check Michigan to see if he has already started.

Rememberr Taggart Romney?

Tim Scott is smooth in asking about their "urgency"

These people are using microeconomic terms in response to urgency.

He is talking about risks and the unknown.

He talked about "we know how many are going to die", which is predictive modeling crap.

This is a livestream of how they implement their privatization schemes.

You can see the exact same damn thing they did when they got busted on Flint Water Crisis.

They scrambled when busted, came up with Public Private Partnerships, studies, campaigns, pain and national drama, while they kept their gerrymandering schemes covered up in stealin' the children, land and votes.

This particular operation does not include the children.

This is very important where no one has presented a scientific reason why this corona is age specific. So, riddle me this: What do you do with the kids of the infected?

HINT: CPS. These people already have the child welfare system and are desperate for new funding streams of tiny humans.

This is the battle of Parental Rights because this is the transposable model of the consortia task force of Emperor Pence, but hey, what do I know?
1
Kathleen Sebelius came in to advise.

This was quite interesting because she has a long history in the administrative structures and operations of DHHS.

As a matter of fact, Sebelius knows so much about DHHS, I bet she could tell many, many tales, as an original source, of course.

White House wants to dismantle and cut Medicaid, but those cuts do not address Targeted Case Management under corporate custody and guardianship.

Universal health care is national security.

Just remember, it all started in Detroit.

Preparation for mass closures as the elections approach, for the New King is to be crowned.

IMPEACHMENT: Final Day - Senators Have Voting Rights

48 to 52 - Not guilty.
Article One.

47 to 53 - Not Guilty.
Article Two.

https://www.senate.gov/legislative/LIS/roll_call_lists/roll_call_vote_cfm.cfm?congress=116&session=2&vote=00033

"Impeach Trump!" Proclaimed Emperor Pence.

Trump acquitted; Romney only Republican to vote guilty

President Donald Trump won impeachment acquittal Wednesday in the U.S. Senate, bringing to a close only the third presidential trial in American history with votes that split the country, tested civic norms and fed the tumultuous 2020 race for the White House.

With Chief Justice John Roberts presiding, senators sworn to do “impartial justice” stood and stated their votes for the roll call – “guilty” or “not guilty” – in a swift tally almost exclusively along party lines. Trump, the chief justice then declared, shall “be, and is hereby, acquitted of the charges.”

The outcome followed months of remarkable impeachment proceedings, from Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s House to Mitch McConnell’s Senate, reflecting the nation’s unrelenting partisan divide three years into the Trump presidency.

What started as Trump’s request for Ukraine to “do us a favor” spun into a far-reaching, 28,000-page report compiled by House investigators accusing an American president of engaging in shadow diplomacy that threatened U.S. foreign relations for personal, political gain as he pressured the ally to investigate Democratic rival Joe Biden ahead of the next election.

No president has ever been removed by the Senate.

A politically emboldened Trump had eagerly predicted vindication, deploying the verdict as a political anthem in his reelection bid. The president claims he did nothing wrong, decrying the “witch hunt” as an extension of special counsel Robert Mueller’s probe into Russian 2016 campaign interference by those out to get him from the start of his presidency.

Trump’s political campaign tweeted videos, statements and a cartoon dance celebration, while the president himself tweeted that he would speak Thursday from the White House about “our Country’s VICTORY on the Impeachment Hoax.”

However, the Senate Democratic leader Chuck Schumer said there will always be “a giant asterisk next to the president’s acquittal” because of the Senate’s quick trial and Republicans’ unprecedented rejection of witnesses.

A majority of senators expressed unease with Trump’s pressure campaign on Ukraine that resulted in the two articles of impeachment. But two-thirds of them would have had to vote “guilty” to reach the Constitution’s bar of high crimes and misdemeanors to convict and remove Trump from office. The final tallies in the GOP-held Senate fell far short.

On the first article of impeachment, abuse of power, the vote was 52-48 favoring acquittal. The second, obstruction of Congress, also produced a not guilty verdict, 53-47.

Only one Republican, Mitt Romney of Utah, the party’s defeated 2012 presidential nominee, broke with the GOP.

Romney choked up as he said he drew on his faith and “oath before God” to vote guilty on the first charge, abuse of power. He voted to acquit on the second.

All Democrats found the president guilty on the two charges.

Both Bill Clinton in 1999 and Andrew Johnson in 1868 drew cross-party support when they were left in office after impeachment trials. Richard Nixon resigned rather than face sure impeachment, expecting members of his own party to vote to remove him.

Ahead of Wednesday’s voting, some of the most closely watched senators took to the Senate floor to tell their constituents, and the nation, what they had decided.

Influential GOP Sen. Lamar Alexander of Tennessee worried a guilty verdict would “pour gasoline on the fire” of the nation’s culture wars over Trump and “rip the country apart.’’ He said the House proved its case but it just didn’t rise to the level of impeachment.

Other Republicans siding with Trump said it was time to end what McConnell called the “circus” and move on.

Most Democrats, though, echoed the House managers’ warnings that Trump, if left unchecked, would continue to abuse the power of his office for personal political gain and try to cheat again ahead of the the 2020 election.

Even key Democrats from states where Trump is popular – Doug Jones in Alabama and Joe Manchin in West Virginia – risked backlash and voted to convict.

“Senators are elected to make tough choices,” Jones said.

Several senators trying to win the Democratic Party’s nomination to face Trump – Bernie Sanders, Elizabeth Warren and Amy Klobuchar – dashed back from early primary state New Hampshire to vote.

During the nearly three-week trial, House Democrats prosecuting the case argued that Trump abused power like no other president in history when he pressured Ukraine to investigate Biden and his son, Hunter Biden, ahead of the 2020 election.

They detailed an extraordinary effort by Trump lawyer Rudy Giuliani that set off alarms at the highest levels of government. After Trump’s July 25 call with Ukraine, the White House temporarily halted U.S. aid to the struggling ally battling hostile Russia at its border. The money was eventually released in September as Congress intervened.

When the House probed Trump’s actions, the president instructed White House aides to defy congressional subpoenas, leading to the obstruction charge.

Questions from the Ukraine matter continue to swirl. House Democrats may yet summon former national security adviser John Bolton to testify about revelations from his forthcoming book that offer a fresh account of Trump’s actions. Other eyewitnesses and documents are almost sure to surface.

In closing arguments for the trial, the lead prosecutor, Rep. Adam Schiff, D-Calif., appealed to senators’ sense of decency, insisting “right matters” and “truth matters” and Trump “is not who you are.’’

Schiff told The Associated Press he hoped the votes to convict “will serve as a constraint on the president’s wrongdoing.”

“But we’re going to have to be vigilant,” he said.

Pelosi was initially reluctant to launch impeachment proceedings against Trump when she took control of the House after the 2018 election, warning against a partisan vote.

But a whistleblower complaint of his conversation with Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelenskiy set off alarms. The president’s call was placed the day after Mueller announced the findings of his Russia probe.

When Trump told Pelosi in September that the call was perfect, she was stunned. Days later, the speaker announced the formal impeachment inquiry.

The result was the quickest, most partisan impeachment in U.S. history, with no Republicans joining the House Democrats to vote for the charges. The Republican Senate kept up the pace with the fastest trial ever, and the first with no witnesses. Seventeen ambassadors, national security officials and others had testified in the House.

Trump’s star attorney Alan Dershowitz made the sweeping, if stunning, assertion that even if the president engaged in the quid pro quo as described, it is not impeachable, because politicians often equate their own political interest with the national interest.

McConnell braced for dissent, but with a 53-47 Republican majority he refuted efforts to prolong the trial with more witnesses, arguing the House should have done a better job.

Roberts, as the rare court of impeachment came to a close, wished senators well in “our common commitment to the Constitution,” and hoped to meet again “under happier circumstances.”

Right Here - Parental Rights Hits Center Stage - How They Were Stealin' The Children, Land & Votes

Right here.

This is what it is all about.

Parental Rights is bastardizing the original intent of the Religious Freedom Restoration Act.

The Embryo Adoption Public Awareness Campaign was first funded by Congress in fiscal year 2002. The original purpose of the program was to increase public awareness of the existence of a large number of human embryos remaining after in vitro fertilization procedures, some of which might be available for adoption by infertile couples. In fiscal year 2008, Congress expanded the scope of the program to include interventions that provided “medical and administrative services” to individuals and couples in order to facilitate the adoption and donation of embryos for the purpose of family formation. P4
Some non-Federal entities have expressed concerns that requiring compliance with certain non-statutory requirements of those paragraphs violates the Religious Freedom Restoration Act (RFRA), 42 U.S.C. § 2000bb, et seq., or the U.S. Constitution, exceeds the Department’s statutory authority, or reduces the effectiveness of programs, for example, by reducing foster care placements in the Title IV-E program of HHS’s Administration for Children and Families. p5.

In this proposed rule, the American University, Beirut, and the World Health Organization are exempted specifically from the indirect-cost-rate limitation because they are eligible for negotiated facilities and administration (F&A) cost reimbursement.
TRASNLATION: FRAUD. CHILDREN'S FAKE ASS FOREIGN CHILD WELFARE NGOs AND THEIR FAKE ASS CHILDREN'S TRUST FUNDS RUNNING CHILD WELFARE PROPAGANDA CAMPAIGNS ALL THE DAMN TIME BECAUSE THE COST REIMBURSEMENT IS THROUGH MEDICAID AND LOTS AND LOTS OF STUPID PREDICTIVE MODELING CRAP RESEARCH GRANTS FOR FOREIGN UNIVERSITIES, SUCH AS LISTED ABOVE, ARE DOING ON TINY HUMANS. SEE SAM BROWNBACK. EMPHASIS ADDED.
This proposed restriction on indirect costs, as indicated by 45 CFR 75.101, would flow down to subawards and subrecipients. The Department recognizes that this provision could be interpreted as having a financial impact on small entities. These limits, however, have been operational since the publication of the Final Rule, and therefore grantees would not need to make any changes to their current practice in response to this rulemaking.
Oh, heavens to Betsy DeVos!

Whatever shall you do, my Dearest Dana?

I see an encroachment on your Frank Kelly Powers.

I also see an interesting psyoptic going on with the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops and I think I like it!

HHS changes rules to protect religious adoption agencies

Washington D.C., Nov 1, 2019 / 02:00 pm (CNA).- The Trump administration has announced a change to federal rules to preserve federal funding of faith-based adoption agencies, regardless of their views on same-sex marriage.

The Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) announced Nov. 1 that it would change its enforcement of previous regulations and propose a new rule, allowing faith-based adoption agencies to continue receiving federal funding while not having to match children with same-sex couples against their religious mission.

HHS said it would revise a 2016 rule that conditioned federal funding of child welfare agencies upon their matching children with same-sex couples.

The U.S. bishops’ conference (USCCB) praised the change in a statement released on Friday.

“To restrict faith-based organizations’ work by infringing on religious freedom – as the 2016 rule threatened to do - is unfair and serves no one, especially the children in need of these services,” said a joint statement by Bishop Frank Dewane of Venice, Florida, chair of the USCCB Domestic Justice and Human Development committee, Bishop James Conley of Lincoln, chair of the USCCB Subcommittee for the Promotion and Defense of Marriage, and Bishop Robert McManus of Worcester, Massachusetts, chair of the USCCB Committee for Religious Liberty.

The previous regulation “threatened to shut out faith-based social service providers, namely adoption and foster care agencies that respect a child’s right to a mother and a father,” the bishops said.

The announcement comes in the middle of a “foster care crisis” in which faith-based adoption agencies will play a critical role in placing children with families, religious freedom advocates said.

“It is just as important today to continue fighting so that vulnerable children will have all hands on deck in the midst of a nationwide foster care crisis,” said Lori Windham, senior counsel at the Becket Fund for Religious Liberty.

“Every child deserves a chance to be raised in a loving home,” said Alliance Defending Freedom Senior Counsel Zack Pruitt said, noting that there are more than 400,000 children in the foster care system and 100,000 eligible for adoption. HHS’s action “offers hope for children, more options for birth mothers, support for families, and increased flexibility for states seeking to alleviate real human need,” he said.

However, the administration’s proposed rule “would only fix part of the problem,” Windham tweeted, as faith-based agencies also face hostility from state and local governments and thus “still need help from SCOTUS.”

Becket represents several entities affected by the Obama administration regulation and similar state and local efforts to push child welfare agencies to place children with same-sex couples.

In a press release on Friday morning, HHS said it would stop enforcing certain regulatory provisions for administering grants, due to a problematic interpretation of them by the Obama administration.

The federal agency also issued a proposed rule revising part of a 2016 Obama-era regulation, to better protect faith-based adoption agencies.

The rule, HHS said, would ensure respect for civil rights while protecting religious freedom and “eliminating regulatory burden” on “the free exercise of religion”; it would do so by requiring grant recipients to comply with existing anti-discrimination laws passed and religious freedom laws that have been passed by Congress, while also requiring HHS to comply with relevant Supreme Court decisions.

Faith-based adoption agencies have had to contend with efforts at the federal, state, and local levels that conditioned public funding on the agencies placing children with same-sex couples in violation of their religious mission.

In Michigan, Catholic Charities West Michigan—represented by ADF—brought a federal lawsuit against the state for withholding funding from faith-based adoption agencies over their stances on marriage. A federal court recently blocked the Obama-era regulation from going into effect in a case involving St. Vincent Catholic Charities and a family looking to adopt, represented by Becket.

“Both the federal government and a federal court have now recognized that discrimination against faith-based agencies seeking to serve those most in need should not be tolerated. We hope that state and local governments will follow suit,” Windham said.

There are several federal laws which are relevant to nondiscrimination in the adoption and foster care system.

These include Title VI of the Civil Rights Act, which forbids discrimination on the basis of race, color, or national origin in programs of child welfare agencies and state courts. Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972 forbids sex discrimination in federally-funded education programs; other laws prohibit discrimination for age and disability.

The Obama administration interpreted existing law to forbid discrimination in the child welfare system not only on basis of sex, but sexual orientation. Thus, it began taking action against adoption agencies that did not place children with same-sex couples, on the grounds that they were discriminating against an individual’s sexual orientation.

Rep. Robert Aderholt (R-Ala.) introduced an amendment in a 2018 funding bill to withhold some HHS funding of states that would not allow faith-based organizations to carry out their religious mission in child welfare. The amendment was removed from the legislation before a final House vote.

Adoption agencies have also been facing adverse action from states which have anti-discrimination laws.

In Massachusetts, Catholic Charities of the Boston Archdiocese stopped its adoption services in 2006 after the state legalized same-sex marriage. Catholic Charities in California and Illinois also stopped their adoption services in 2006 and 2011, respectively.

In Illinois, the bishops had said that the state “made it financially impossible for our agencies to continue to provide these services,” after the state legalized same-sex marriage and required adoption agencies to pair children with same-sex couples.

In 2018, the city of Philadelphia stopped placing adoptive children with Catholic Social Services, only days after calling for 300 new families to adopt foster children.

The city faces a lawsuit by several foster mothers for its decision to stop working with Catholic Social Services, and on Nov. 15, the Supreme Court will decide whether or not to grant review in Fulton v. Philadelphia.

Speaking of grant announcements, a funny thing happened while searching for the Federal Registry Announcement for public comments, where I shall, in the Spirit of the Celestial Goddess of the Woodshed, perform the perfection of prayers for the heavens to fall, I found this fun little Faith Based Funding grant of the Office of Population Control for the search of hosts to gestate a corporation's moveable chattel in the form of embryos.

The National Survey of Family Growth (NSFG) has collected information over the past several years regarding the behaviors and access to health services of females and males within the United States of America related to family formation and reproductive health. Data from the 2012 NSFG release (which received partial support from the Embryo Adoption Awareness program) suggested that nearly two-thirds of U.S. women of reproductive age knew of embryo adoption/donation as a method of family formation. Preliminary analysis from more recent studies indicate that awareness continues to increase. Building upon the public’s awareness, in 2016, OPA supported a small but in-depth study of obstetrician/gynecologists’ knowledge and practices regarding embryo adoption/donation. Though awareness of embryo adoption/donation was nearly universal among the study participants, none of them had ever offered education and counseling on embryo adoption/donation nor suggested it to a patient.

Dear Democratic Colleague,

For weeks, the President, his Counsel in the White House, and his allies in Congress have made the baseless claim that the House of Representatives’ impeachment inquiry “lacks the necessary authorization for a valid impeachment proceeding.”  They argue that, because the House has not taken a vote, they may simply pretend the impeachment inquiry does not exist.

Of course, this argument has no merit.  The Constitution provides that the House of Representatives “shall have the sole Power of Impeachment.”  Multiple past impeachments have gone forward without any authorizing resolutions.  Just last week, a federal court confirmed that the House is not required to hold a vote and that imposing such a requirement would be “an impermissible intrusion on the House’s constitutional authority.”  More than 300 legal scholars have also refuted this argument, concluding that “the Constitution does not mandate the process for impeachment and there is no constitutional requirement that the House of Representatives authorize an impeachment inquiry before one begins.”

The Trump Administration has made up this argument – apparently out of whole cloth – in order to justify its unprecedented cover-up, withhold key documents from multiple federal agencies, prevent critical witnesses from cooperating, and defy duly authorized subpoenas.

This week, we will bring a resolution to the Floor that affirms the ongoing, existing investigation that is currently being conducted by our committees as part of this impeachment inquiry, including all requests for documents, subpoenas for records and testimony, and any other investigative steps previously taken or to be taken as part of this investigation.

This resolution establishes the procedure for hearings that are open to the American people, authorizes the disclosure of deposition transcripts, outlines procedures to transfer evidence to the Judiciary Committee as it considers potential articles of impeachment, and sets forth due process rights for the President and his Counsel.

We are taking this step to eliminate any doubt as to whether the Trump Administration may withhold documents, prevent witness testimony, disregard duly authorized subpoenas, or continue obstructing the House of Representatives.

Nobody is above the law.

best regards,

Freedom Caucus & The CIA Star Chamber - The Trump Termination Of Parental Rights Impeachment

BEHOLD!

The "Legal Geniuses" (trademark pending) have absolutely no clue of whom "The Whistleblower Protected by Orders of the Highest Authority" is.

Benny Thompson pulled the CIA card on ex-parte hearings for breaching a Secured Compartmented Information Facility (SCIF) when they raided the CIA Star Chamber with their hand held personal communication devices for their foreign handlers who just wanted to listen in.

Praise the lord!

See, it is not partisan when you show your CIA card.

That means Mike Pompeo is participating in the CPS, oops, I mean CIA Star Chamber.

Is Pompeo whistleblower?

Jim Jordan should get Doug Collins and the members of the Freedom Caucus to ask Mike Pompeo in a hearing.

They could subpoena Pompeo, Adam Sciff and Benny Thompson to testify in House Judiciary on the CIA Star Chamber.

*Awkward*

They could clarify the legal process and set precedent for the Sargent At Arms

to arrest a Member of Congress.

Oh, what joy!

Cyberchatter has it Mittens has secured the Senate Majority impeachment vote, yet, Trump continues to obstruct justice by failing to pull that IG Report from his backpocket.

Emperor Pence Rallies The Christian Military For The Parental Rights Crusade To Preserve The Residuals Of The Peculiar Institution

Oh, my!

Emperor Pence really wants that U.S. crown.

His majesty has declared that the Second Amendment is only to mean to keep and bear arms, as in guns.

That is the call of the privatized, juridic, corporate parental rights of life, because it is no longer fashionable to say you own slaves.

The salvific mission of the chosen ones continues to build the christian kingdom of god, even though its banks were just raided.

The Anointed One has declared socialism to be slavery, and the U.S. will no longer be a socialist nation.

Socialism is democratic.

Democrats started slavery.

Ergo, socialism is slavery.

Praise the lord and vote republican.

I need a personal moment to work through this line of logic...and a cocktail to go along with it.

Ok, I am back.

The Tale Of Burisma, Hunter Biden, Taggart Romney, Their Daddies, Deutsche Bank & Trafficking Tiny Human Trust Funds With Catholic Charities

This is the tale of Joe Biden, running trafficking tiny human ops out the White House, with the assistance of his brother James and his son.

Tagg Romney
Mitt Romney's eldest son, Tagg, made a surprise announcement today: He and his wife, Jen, are the new parents of twin boys delivered by a surrogate.

"Happy 2 announce birth of twin boys David Mitt and William Ryder. Big thanks to our surrogate. Life is a miracle," Tagg Romney said via Twitter at 3:17 p.m.

Ten minutes later, his mother, Ann Romney, said in her own tweet: "Grandchildren 17 and 18 are here – congratulations @TRomney and Jen! We can't wait to meet David and William."

Tagg Romney is one of five children of the presumptive Republican presidential nominee and his wife. Tagg and Jen Romney had four children previously.

The Associated Press reported it was the second time the couple had used a surrogate. Their son Jonathan was born in 2010 by a surrogate.

Tagg Romney said on his Facebook page that the latest surrogancy was gestational, meaning the new boys are the biological product of him and his wife.

"Everyone is healthy and happy," Tagg Romney wrote. "They weighed in at 5 pounds 13 ounces and 19-3/4 inches, and 6 pounds 13 ounces and 19 inches. A special thanks to our gestational surrogate who made this possible for us. Life truly is a miracle, and we feel so blessed to be able to celebrate the arrival of these precious boys into our family."

His Facebook homepage features a group photo at Fenway Park of him and three of his four brothers.
Both Tagg and Jen Romney are members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, which encourages its members to have large families and places a premium on genealogical research.

Nonetheless, "The Church strongly discourages surrogate motherhood," says an LDS handbook.

As for adopted children, the handbook says: "Questions regarding the exchange of information and contact between adopted children and their biological parents should be handled with sensitivity. The legal rights and emotional needs of all relevant parties should be considered."

I believe this tale is self explanatory.

They all were stealin' the children, the land and the votes.

As Democrats and the media remain fanatically obsessed with assembling some form of a “quid pro quo” from the infamous Trump-Zelensky phone call, new details have emerged regarding Burisma, the company for which Hunter Biden worked and the company that Ukraine’s top prosecutor had been investigating before Vice President Joe Biden had the prosecutor fired via a months-long pressure campaign. According to web archives, top Mitt Romney adviser Joseph Cofer Black, who publicly goes by “Cofer Black,” joined Burisma’s board of directors while Hunter Biden was also serving on the board.

According to The New Yorker, Hunter joined Burisma’s board in April of 2014 and remained on it until he declined to renew his position this past May. Meanwhile, according to Burisma’s website, Black was appointed in February of 2017 and continues to serve on its board. The timelines would indicate that Black and Biden worked together at Burisma, and indeed, web archives from late 2017 show Black and Biden listed simultaneously on the board.

Black joined the CIA in 1974 and eventually climbed the ranks to become director of the National Counterterrorism Center from 1999 to 2002. In 2002, President George W. Bush appointed him ambassador at large and coordinator for counterterrorism. He later worked at Blackwater as a vice chairman before joining Romney’s campaign as a “special adviser” on Romney’s Foreign Policy and National Security Advisory Team in October of 2011. In 2017, Black joined the board of Burisma.

It’s looking increasingly probable that Burisma, the subject of a series of corruption allegations in the past, has been smartly buying Western complacency by slapping a few famous names on its board. In addition to the son of a vice president and a special adviser to a GOP presidential candidate, the board also boasts the former president of Poland from 1995 to 2005, Aleksander Kwaśniewski.

BSF Achieves Dismissal of Claims Against Family Members of Vice President Biden

BSF won a major victory when New York Supreme Court Justice Bernard Fried granted in its entirety the Firm's motion to dismiss all claims filed against BSF's clients, including James and Hunter Biden, the Vice President’s brother and son, respectively, for alleged breach of contract, conversion and fraud arising from a failed acquisition of portions of a hedge fund.

Fund manager sues son and brother of U.S. Senator Biden

NEW YORK (Reuters) - A Deutsche Bank executive is suing a son and a brother of Delaware Sen. Joe Biden for at least $10 million over a deal they had to buy into a hedge fund, according to court documents. Stephane Farouze, who is global head of fund derivatives for Deutsche Bank and lives in London, claimed that Biden’s son Hunter and brother James broke a May 2006 contract and defrauded him after agreeing to buy his membership interests in New York-based Paradigm Companies LLC.

The lawsuit filed in New York State Supreme Court in Manhattan in June names Washington lobbyist Hunter Biden, James Biden, and James’s former business partner Anthony Lotito as defendants. On Wednesday, Farouze’s lawyer Marlen Kruzhkov said that the Bidens “never had any intention of carrying out the agreement with my client”.

He said the Bidens and their lawyers have not responded to the complaint. Representatives for the Bidens could not immediately be reached for comment. The lawsuit said that while the Bidens took control of the company, they never paid Farouze the cash they had agreed to pay.

Sen. Biden is a Delaware Democrat who was first elected to the U.S. Senate in 1972. He has been mentioned as a possible vice presidential candidate on Sen. Barack Obama’s presidential ticket. The lawsuit is the second accusing Biden’s relatives of irregularities in their deal to buy hedge fund firm Paradigm. An earlier lawsuit was filed by Lotito in January 2007.
