Gowdy Taking On Property Tax Fraud?

This could be fun.

I signed up for email alerts.

Property owners hire Gowdy to address issues with Spartanburg Water

Gowdy's hiring announced during City Council meeting

A group has retained former U.S. Rep. Trey Gowdy as its attorney to address issues with a local utility, according to one of the property owners in the group.

It was announced during the public comment section of Monday night’s Spartanburg City Council meeting that property owners on Lakes Blalock and Bowen have retained Gowdy.

“We need to stop the Boston Tea Party or you’ve got a lawsuit,” Matt Spencer said, referring to the thought the property owners are being “taxed” without a representative on the Public Works Commission. “You know Trey Gowdy, right? Trey Gowdy has been hired by our group, and you don’t want that kind of lawsuit. You all know how great Trey Gowdy is.”

Spencer lives on Lake Bowen. He said the three-person commission needs to grow to seven.

There’s a bill in the legislature that would make that happen.

Spencer wasn’t the only speaker to address the council on issues surrounding Spartanburg Water.

Len Fletcher made the point county residents pay more for water than city residents do. WYFF News 4 Investigates previously reported customers in city limits pay $0.384 per 100 gallons used.

Customers outside city limits pay $0.672.

Dwight Smith wanted to know when the makeup of the commission would appear on the City Council’s agenda. He didn’t get an answer during the public comment period.

“Our understanding is that the (Commission of Public Works) and its staff are actively working through the issues of concern to those whose property abuts the water system’s reservoirs,” City Manager Chris Story wrote in an emailed response to questions about the meeting. “ There is no role for the City Council in addressing or resolving those concerns. Therefore, no related actions will appear on any upcoming City Council agendas.”

WYFF News 4 has attempted to contact Gowdy. Spartanburg Water’s spokesman did not have a comment on the news of Gowdy’s representation.

Kathleen Rice Challenges Trey Gowdy To An Ethical Showdown

Duel VR Windows, VR game - Mod DB
Kathleen Rice challenging Trey Gowdy
to an authoritative duel in U.S. House Ethics Committee
I do not like Meanies.

Kathleen Rice is acting like she has been officially annointed to represent the Meanies.

(Saddy face.)

Kathleen Rice attacked the U.S. House Ethics Committee members.

That was not just political, that was really mean.

Trey Gowdy just so happens to be one of the senior members of that committee.

I just so happen to love me some Trey.

Now, the Lady comes, hitherto, in a visually, nervous lust of power to accuse U.S. Representative Trey Gowdy of besmirching his ethical profession as a representative of law, in public testimony on CNN, which crosses multiple jurisdicitonal regions, even bodies of water, in the capacity of a representative of The United States, via internet and airwaves, archived in the Library of Congress, to call out the gentleman's decision making authority to be artificial, and thereof, his decisions, and, the decisions of the body to be arbitrary and capricious?

Daaaaaaaaammmnn, you got some hutzpah, gurl.

And something tells me you are neither very sophisticated in the history of the Ethics Committee nor its authority.

You must be under pressure about something.

Emails?

Real Estate acquisitions?

Child welfare?

FARA?

FEC?

Gurl, you know I know, you know, and probably, so does Trey.

Rep. Kathleen Rice: Ethics committee's accountability 'not real'

Rice's comments come on the tail of a growing list of members of Congress who have been named for sexual harassment, including Conyers and Sen. Al Franken of Minnesota.

Female lawmakers, staffers and interns have told CNN that there is a pervasive atmosphere of sexual harassment on Capitol Hill. Earlier this month, Reps. Jackie Speier, a California Democrat, and Barbara Comstock, a Virginia Republican, accused unnamed sitting male lawmakers of sexual harassment and misconduct, including an allegation that a male lawmaker exposed his genitals to a female staffer.

She went on to say that many of the accusations against members of Congress, like Democratic Rep. John Conyers of Michigan, who she has called on to resign, may not pass beyond a reasonable doubt and therefore may never be fairly adjudicated.

"We don't have a legal standard here. We're talking about the court of public opinion. We're talking about holding men accountable for their actions," Rice said. "And a lot of these men, against whom these allegations have been made, are never going to face their day in court. The victims in these cases are never going to have their day in court."

Washington (CNN) Rep. Kathleen Rice said that the congressional ethics committees being proposed as a way to investigate serial sexual assault offenders on Capitol Hill are "not real" and "not accountable."

Speaking on CNN's "New Day" Friday, Rice, a Democrat and former prosecutor, said that the ethics committee will not offer a level of true accountability to offenders.

"Saying that we're going to have these allegations against politicians go before an ethics committee that can sometimes take a couple of years, no offense to my colleagues who are on the ethics committee, that's not real. That's not real. And that's not accountability," Rice said.

Rice said that the main pitfall of the committees is it asks colleagues to judge colleagues.
"The way the system works is it is does not benefit -- there's no benefit to a woman who comes out and says, 'I'm being harassed.' There are only professional consequences," said Rice.

Congrats To U.S. Representative Trey Gowdy On His Re-election

A sigh of relief for the re-election of Trey Gowdy.

We would have missed you in all the fun.

Trey Gowdy Announces Full Blown Resurrection Of Investigation Now That Elections Are Over… She Is Finished

screen-shot-2016-11-09-at-11-47-19-pm“There is sufficient evidence, both direct and circumstantial, upon which a jury could conclude an intent to violate the law,” Gowdy commented. “This evidence includes concealment of evidence, destruction of evidence, and false exculpatory statements—all of which fall under the general heading of consciousness of guilt.”

“It would appear the investigation is back to the status quo ante, which means Director Comey believes Secretary Clinton was indeed extremely careless in her handling of classified material,” he added.

“Yet, there is insufficient evidence to prove beyond a reasonable doubt Secretary Clinton had a specific intent to violate a statute which specifically provides for the lower sector standard of gross negligence,” Gowdy concluded.

Trey Gowdy Resigns From House Ethics Committee

    Stay tuned.

    Trey knows stuff.

RESIGNATION AS MEMBER OF COMMITTEE ON ETHICS

The SPEAKER pro tempore laid before the House the following resignation as a member of the Committee on Ethics:

CONGRESS OF THE UNITED STATES, HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES, Washington, DC, January 10, 2018.

Hon. PAUL D. RYAN, Speaker, House of Representatives, Washington, DC.

    DEAR SPEAKER RYAN:

Thank you for the privilege of serving for the past 5 years on the House Ethics Committee.

While few, if any, members seek this assignment, the collegiality of the members coupled with the seriousness of the jurisdiction have made it an experience I will treasure.

When I became Chairperson of the Committee on Oversight and Government Reform I knew I would not be able to keep all other committee assignments to include Judiciary, Intelligence and Ethics.

Four committee assignments, including a Chairmanship, is a challenging workload.

I was happy to finish out the calendar year and conclude some matters then pending before the Committee.

Accordingly, I tender my resignation from the House Ethics Committee pending your designation of a replacement.

Thank you again for this opportunity and thank you to my colleagues on the Committee for their hard work and friendship.

    Sincerely,

    TREY GOWDY,
    Member of Congress.

The SPEAKER pro tempore. Without objection, the resignation is accepted.

    There was no objection.

Are Roger Stone & Trey Gowdy Old School Civil Rights Legal Dogs?

Is Roger Stone an Old School Civil Rights Legal Dog?

No one possesses the legal acumen to report from the front lines of the #cyberwars because he is absolutely perfect to do the "Colored" Commentary.

Roger has been around, for a hot minute in history, going all the way back to Watergate.

Yes, Watergate is back open, and all its ancillary assassinations, even in character.

    Roger is not stupid.

He continues to introduce the legal term "to bear false witness", which is ethics, the basis of the extraordinary writs, into the public discourse.

Roger knows we are ushering in the Quantum Renaissance and is joining the rank and file of those who are willing to fall on their swords.

Pay attention to how he talks about not being able to afford justice, going broke, being shunned from society without due process.

    Sound familiar?

So, I am going to go out there and claim Roger Stone as an Old School Civil Rights Legal Dog, because he has a few stories to tell.

The Ethics War Of Privatization: Trey Gowdy Tells His Tale As Thucydides

    Bust of Thucydides
    Trey Gowdy, starring as Thucydides
    The Tucydides Trap

The only person that can tell the tale of Trey Gowdy is Trey Gowdy, because he speaks as an orator of times past in the spirit of Thucydides.

He movingly speaks on ethics, his area of expertise.

He is telling the tale of the Ethics War of Privatization and it is my belief that Trey shall tell this scribe this tale in the database of history called PACER.

Sometimes, there are elected officials will fall on their swords in the spirit of ethics to preserve the institution of democracy, which includes due process.

Due process is the seminal component of scientific methodology that Trey is championing.

There will be many elected officials who may or may have not fallen upon the sword of ethics, and for this well documented fact, must be litigated.

    Trey is a litigator.

Excerpt from Funeral Speech for Athenian War Dead

Given in the first year of the Peloponnesian War
    431/430 B.C.

As Thucydides recounts Pericles claiming in a famous speech, "Our natural bravery springs from our way of life, not from the compulsion of laws...We are lovers of the beautiful, yet simple in our tastes, and we cultivate the arts without loss of manliness." Athens under the leadership of Pericles was populated by citizens intensely loyal and proud of their city state where the government was renown for justice and the streets adorned with beautiful public buildings and art some of which survives to this day. It was a happy moment of ancient history when free and prosperous men said things about the human condition which have not been said better since, in my opinion.Perhaps no other city or culture has enjoyed such a fertile period of genius and brilliance in so many different disciplines. In philosophy, Athens produced Socrates, Anaxagoras and Plato; in history, Herodotus and Thucydides; in literature, Aeschylus, Sophocles, and Euripides. As a culture which prized intelligence and pleasure, Athens boasted a veritable pantheon of exceptional citizens who achieved brilliance in the arts, medicine, mathematics, and philosophy.
They were proud and considered even arrogant. They had reason to be. Many people today consider Athens in the age of Pericles as an ideal to be lived up to.

"Our form of government is called a democracy because..."

"... Our form of does not imitate the laws of neighboring states. On the contrary, we are rather a model to others. Our form of government is called a democracy because its administration is in the hands, not of a few, but of the whole people. In the settling of private disputes, everyone is equal before the law. Election to public office is made on the basis of ability, not on the basis of membership to a particular class. No man is kept out of public office by the obscurity of his social standing because of his poverty, as long as he wishes to be of service to the state. And not only in our public life are we free and open, but a sense of freedom regulates our day-to-day life with each other. We do not flare up in anger at our neighbor if he does what he likes. And we do not show the kind of silent disapproval that causes pain in others, even though it is not a direct accusation. In our private affairs, then, we are tolerant and avoid giving offense. But in public affairs, we take great care not to break law because of the deep respect we have for them. We give obedience to the men who hold public office from year to year. And we pay special regard to those laws that are for the protection of the oppressed and to all the unwritten laws that we know bring disgrace upon the transgressor when they are broken.

"Let me add another point. We have had the good sense to provide for our spirits more opportunities for relaxation from hard work than other people. Throughout the year, there are dramatic and athletic contests and religious festivals. In our homes we find beauty and good taste, and the delight we find every day in and this drives away our cares. And because of the greatness of our city, all kinds of imports flow in to us from all over the world. It is just as natural for us to enjoy the good products of other nations as it is to enjoy the things that we produce ourselves.

"The way we live differs in another respect from that of our enemies. Our city is open to all the world. We have never had any aliens' laws to exclude anyone from finding our or seeking anything here, nor any secrets of the city that an enemy might find out about and use to his advantage. For our security, we rely not on defensive arrangements or secrecy but on the courage that springs from our souls, when we are called into action. As for education, the enemy subjects their children from their earliest boyhood to the most laborious training in manly courage. We, with our unrestricted way of life, are just as ready to face the dangers as they are. And here is the proof. The Spartans never invade Attica using only their own troops, but they bring along all their allies. But when we attack a nearby city, we usually win by ourselves even though we fight on enemy soil against men who defend their own homes. No enemy, in fact, has even engaged our total military power because our practice is constantly to attend to the needs of our navy, as well as to send our troops on many land excursions. Yet, if our enemies engage one division of our forces and defeat it, they boast that they have beaten our entire army, and if they are defeated they say that they lost to our whole army. So it is not painful discipline that makes us go out to meet danger, but our easy confidence. Our natural bravery springs from our way of life, not from the compulsion of laws. Also we do not spend our time anticipating the sufferings that are still in the future, and when the test is upon us, we show ourselves no less brave than those who are continually preparing themselves for battle. Athens deserves to be admired for these qualities and for others as well.

"Our love for beauty does not make us extravagant, and our love of things of the mind does not make us soft. We regard wealth as something to be properly used and not as something to boast about. Nobody need be ashamed to admit poverty, but it is shameful not to do one's best to escape from poverty. Our concern for our private affairs is balanced by our involvement with the affairs of the city. Even people who are mostly occupied with their own business are extremely well informed on political matters. We do not simply regard a man who does not participate in the city's life as one who just minds his own business, but as one who is good for nothing. We all join in debate about the affairs of the city, as they deserve, or at least we participate in the decisions. We do not think that these discussions impede action. We do believe that what is damaging is to go into action in a crucial situation before the people have been fully instructed in debate.

"The strongest are those who understand with perfect clarity what is terrible in life and what is sweet and then go out undeterred to confront danger.

"But he who owes us something is likely to be listless in his friendship, knowing that when he repays the kindness, it will count not as a favor bestowed but as a debt repaid.

"Again, in nobility of spirit, we differ from most others in the way we conduct ourselves toward other peoples. We make friendships not by receiving kindness from others but by conferring it on others. Helping others makes us a more trustworthy friend, because we then act so as not to lose the good will that our help created. A city that makes its friendships by accepting help is not so trustworthy. Its conduct toward other peoples is going to be governed not by good will, but merely by its grudging sense of obligation. We alone do kindness to others, not because we stop to calculate whether this will be to our advantage, but in the spirit of liberality, which motivates us.

"In short, I assert that the city of Athens, taken all together, is a model for all Greece, and that each Athenian, as far as I can see, is more self-reliant as an individual and behaves with exceptional versatility and grace in the more varied forms of activity.

House GOP opens probe into DOJ’s Clinton investigation

    Image result for eating popcorn
Democrats & Republicans following the investigation
Let's get this show on the road because it is not what you think.

    Stay tuned...

Two powerful House Republican chairmen announced Tuesday that they would jointly investigate the Justice Department's handling of its 2016 Hillary Clinton investigation — a potential counter-punch to the FBI probe of the Trump campaign's Russia connections that drew quick condemnation from Democrats.

House Judiciary Committee Chairman Bob Goodlatte and House Oversight and Government Reform Committee Chairman Trey Gowdy said they have a host of questions about the FBI's probe of Clinton’s treatment of classified information.

They're also seeking more information about the agency's ongoing investigation into campaign associates of President Donald Trump.

"Our justice system is represented by a blind-folded woman holding a set of scales.

Those scales do not tip to the right or the left; they do not recognize wealth, power, or social status," the duo said in a statement.

"The impartiality of our justice system is the bedrock of our republic and our fellow citizens must have confidence in its objectivity, independence, and evenhandedness... No entity or individual is exempt from oversight."

    Goodlatte, Conyers & Gowdy
Republicans have long accused the Justice Department of letting Clinton off easy. Former FBI chief James Comey announced months before the 2016 election that Clinton had mishandled classified documents but that no charges would be brought.

The far-right is still fuming more than a year later — especially now that the agency is probing the leader of their party, President Donald Trump, and whether his campaign colluded with Moscow to win the election.

The new line of investigative inquiry could give Republicans a response to any findings that may cast Trump and his associates in a negative light.

Trump himself — and some House Republicans — have made no secret of their belief that the FBI's current Russia investigation is a "witch-hunt" and a "hoax."

Goodlatte and Gowdy said they want to re-examine why the FBI decided to announce an end to the Clinton probe but did not publicly disclose the investigation into campaign associates of Trump.

They also want answers on why the FBI notified Congress of the status of the Clinton investigation in October and November 2016, as well as the FBI’s apparent decision to “appropriate full decision making in respect to charging or not charging Secretary Clinton to the FBI rather than the DOJ.”

    Democrats blasted the announcement.

"This new investigation is a massive diversion to distract from the lack of Republican oversight of the Trump Administration and the national security threat that Russia poses," said Reps. Elijah E. Cummings and John Conyers Jr., the top Democrats on the Oversight and Judiciary panels, respectively.

"Apparently, House Republicans are more concerned about Jim Comey than Vladimir Putin," they added.

REP. GOWDY LEAVING POLITICS, NOT SEEKING RE-ELECTION

    Let's get this party started.

    Welcome home.

    January 31, 2018

Spartanburg, SC - Rep. Trey Gowdy (SC-04) released the following statement announcing he will leave Congress at the end of this term and return to work in the justice system:

"Words cannot adequately express my gratitude to the people of South Carolina for the privilege of representing them in the House of Representatives. The Upstate of South Carolina has an incredible depth and breadth of assets including numerous women and men capable of representing us. I will always be grateful for the opportunity to serve in the People's House and-prior to Congress-to advocate on behalf of justice in our court systems.
I will not be filing for re-election to Congress nor seeking any other political or elected office; instead I will be returning to the justice system. Whatever skills I may have are better utilized in a courtroom than in Congress, and I enjoy our justice system more than our political system. As I look back on my career, it is the jobs that both seek and reward fairness that are most rewarding.
There is no perfect time to make this announcement, but with filing opening in six weeks, it is important to give the women and men in South Carolina who might be interested in serving ample time to reflect on the decision.
To my wife, Terri, and our two children, Watson and Abigail: thank you for all you sacrificed, missed, or did alone so I could serve as both a prosecutor and a member of the House.
To my parents and my three sisters: thank you for having confidence in me and high expectations for me, even when I did not.
To the women and men I worked with at the South Carolina Court of Appeals, the United States District Court, the U.S. Attorney's Office, the 7th Circuit Solicitor's Office, and in Congress: thank you for the texture, depth and joy you added to life.
To the law enforcement officers and victims of crime: thank you for personifying courage.
To those across South Carolina and our country who, over the past 7 years, have expressed words of encouragement, accountability and even criticism: thank you. All are needed for those in public service.
The book of Ecclesiastes teaches us there is a time and a season for all things. There is a time to start and a time to end. There is a time to come and a time to go. This is the right time, for me, to leave politics and return to the justice system."

FISA Questions: Is A Special Counsel A Non-Governmental Source?

Q1: Is a Special Counsel considered as a "non-governmental source"?

    • A1: Yes.  That is why it is called a Special Counsel.  It is special.
    See, it is like this.

A special counsel is appointed, with advise and consent of the ruling jurisdiction, through some form of legal instrument, like a contract, special oath, and special powers of subpoena.

By doing so, they bound by the rules of due process through a court of law, wherever that judicial venue may be.

Quintessentially, there is oversight if they violate the terms of its legal arrangements to represent the United States in a legal capacity.

Q2: What is another term for "non-governmental sources"?
    • A1: Authorities;
    • A2. Public Private Partnerships;
    • A3. Quasi-Governmental Organization;
    • A4. Perkins Coie;
    • A5. All of the above; or,
    • A6. None of the above.  We must first find out if these non-governmental sources even filed their articles of incorporation, or not.
Besides, how can House Judiciary even participate in a special prosecution when there is a significant likelihood that there are Members and Staffers who are going to be the subject of the special prosecutor's investigation?

Oops. J'ai dit une bêtise encore.

Gowdy, Goodlatte call for special prosecutor to investigate FBI's use of FISA warrants

Republican Reps. Bob Goodlatte and Trey Gowdy are calling on Attorney General Jeff Sessions and Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein to appoint a special counsel to review decisions made by the FBI over the past two years when the Bureau was obtaining surveillance warrants to investigate Russian interference in the 2016 election.

The request for an investigation appears to stem from allegations outlined in the memo authored by Rep. Devin Nunes, chairman of the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence, earlier this year. The memo alleged that the FBI relied on information from a dossier written by former British spy Christopher Steele and paid for by Democratic groups when they sought a warrant to monitor Carter Page, one of Trump's foreign policy advisors, under the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA).

"I think there's a very serious matter regarding conduct by the FBI," Goodlatte, the House Judiciary Committee chairman, told reporters Tuesday.

He and Gowdy insisted that only a special counsel has the necessary authority to conduct a full investigation, including the power to issue subpoenas, convene grand juries, and prosecute criminal acts.

Sessions announced last month that he was instructing Justice Department Inspector General Michael Horowitz to investigate potential FISA abuses, but the two lawmakers said the Horowitz lacks the authority to compel testimony by former Justice officials, former FBI officials, or officials who work for other departments. Gowdy said he believed there were at least 24 witnesses who might testify in a probe of FISA abuses that are "outside the reach" of the inspector general, citing as an example three former Clinton associates: Sidney Blumenthal, Cody Shearer, and Victoria Nuland.

Additionally, Goodlatte said, the decisions made during the FISA warrant process involve "decisions made at the highest levels at the FBI and high levels of the Department of Justice that need to be examined from the outside."

President Trump was also dissatisfied with Sessions' decision to call for an investigation by the inspector general and slammed his own attorney general on Twitter. That investigation, the president tweeted, "Will take forever, has no prosecutorial power and already late with reports on Comey etc."
Ranking member of the House Intelligence Committee, Rep. Adam Schiff, D-California, suggested that House Republicans had been spurred to act by that tweeted complaint.

"As if on cue, House Republicans now call for the appointment of a special counsel to investigate 'FISA abuse,'" Schiff said in a statement. "In so doing, Republicans express their interest in investigating everything but what is most important: Russia's interference in our election, the Trump campaign's role and what we need to do to protect the nation in the future. This may help serve the President's interests, but does nothing to serve the national interest."

The ranking member of the House Government Reform and Oversight Committee, Rep. Elijah Cummings, D-Maryland, was also dismissive.

"The federal regulation on Special Counsels is clear—the Department of Justice must determine that a 'criminal investigation of a person or matter is warranted,'" Cummings wrote in a statement. "In this case, it is difficult to see what crime the Republicans are alleging.  Republicans have made numerous unsubstantiated allegations, like claiming that the Justice Department did not disclose in its FISA application that research was funded by political opponents.  But even if that claim were true, it does not constitute criminal activity."

Gowdy said he believes the questions a special counsel should investigate include whether information from "nongovernmental sources" was used during the FISA application process, whether or not it was vetted before it was used, and whether or not the information relied on sources that violated DOJ's own internal rules.

As for why a congressional committee – with its powers to subpoena witnesses from inside and outside a department – was insufficient to conduct an investigation, Gowdy said he and his colleagues lack both the tools and the public confidence to do so.

"We leak like the Gossip Girls," Gowdy said. "We don't have the ability to impanel a grand jury, we don't have the ability to offer immunity, we should not be offering immunity. He added that parts of the Executive branch are "more publicly confidence-inspiring than current congressional investigations."

A special counsel investigation would continue even if Republicans were to lose control of the House of Representatives in the midterm elections.

JUDICIARY & OVERSIGHT: Cummings and Nadler Call for Release of Full Strzok Transcript

Hundreds of GOP Questions Show Extensive
    Interference with Mueller Investigation

U.S. House OversightWashington, D.C. (July 11, 2018)—Today, Rep. Elijah E. Cummings, the Ranking Member of the Committee on Oversight and Government Reform, and Rep. Jerrold Nadler, the Ranking Member of the Committee on the Judiciary, called for the release of the full unclassified transcript of the 11-hour, closed-door interview of FBI Agent Peter Strzok, which includes hundreds of questions by Republicans regarding Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s ongoing criminal investigation of President Donald Trump’s campaign and Russian interference in the 2016 election.

“Despite repeated promises by Republicans that they would not interfere with the ongoing criminal investigation being conducted by Special Counsel Robert Mueller, they asked hundreds of questions during our recent interview of Peter Strzok demonstrating that their investigation has become exactly that—an attempt to obstruct Special Counsel Mueller’s work and act as President Trump’s defense counsel,” said Cummings.

“We call on our Republican Chairmen to release the full unclassified transcript of Mr. Strzok’s interview so the American people can see for themselves what Republicans are doing with their hard-earned tax money.  This investigation is a political charade—a platform to elevate far-right conspiracy theories and undermine the Special Counsel’s ongoing criminal investigation of the President and his campaign aides, which has already produced five guilty pleas and criminal charges against 23 individuals and entities,” said Nadler.

Republicans promised repeatedly that they would not interfere in any way with Special Counsel Mueller’s ongoing criminal investigation:

    • On December 6, 2017, Oversight Committee Chairman Trey Gowdy wrote that he “specifically communicated to Special Counsel Robert Mueller I would not wittingly or unwittingly interfere with an ongoing criminal probe.”

    • On March 18, 2018, Gowdy declared on Fox News Sunday, “I don’t know what Mueller has found.  I’ve been really very clear, leave him alone.  Let him do his job.”

    • On June 28, 2018, Judiciary Committee Chairman Bob Goodlatte stated that he and Gowdy “had no intention of interfering with the substantive investigation of Mr. Mueller.”

    Republican Interview Questions—By The Numbers

Contrary to these promises, Republicans asked hundreds of questions during the interview of Peter Strzok regarding Special Counsel Mueller’s investigation, while essentially ignoring critical issues in desperate need of congressional oversight:

    • The Special Counsel’s investigation of Russian collusion with the Trump campaign and the FBI’s  investigation into Russia’s interference with the election — more than 200 questions
    • Russia’s actions to interfere with the election — fewer than 5 questions

    • Agent Strzok’s conversations with the Special Counsel and his team — more than 30 questions
    • President Trump’s conversations with Director Comey to stop or interfere with the investigation of his campaign — 0 questions

    • Agent Strzok’s extramarital affair — more than 25 questions
    • National security impact of Russia’s interference in the election — 0 questions

    • FBI’s confidential human sources — 25 questions
    • Risks to confidential human sources of Republican House investigations — 0 questions

Republican questions included a host of queries designed to identify confidential human sources currently being used in the ongoing investigation; questions about George Papadopoulos, Christopher Steele, Glenn Simpson, and Carter Page; questions about the classified FISA process; and even personal questions about Mr. Strzok’s extramarital affairs and how and when he voted:

    ·         Rep. Meadows:  “In the month of July, was there any information from confidential human sources given to you as it relates to the Russia investigation?”
    ·         Rep. Jordan:  “Did you ever talk to George Papadopoulos?”
    ·         Rep. Jordan:  “I want to know when you first had access to the dossier and when you first looked at it.”
    ·         Rep. Jordan:  “Do you ever communicate with Christopher Steele?”
    ·         Rep. Jordan:  “Did you ever talk to Glenn Simpson?”
    ·         Rep. Gowdy:  “Were you part of the preparation of an affidavit in support of a FISA application?”
    ·         Rep. Gowdy:  “Did you consult with anyone who did help prepare it?”
    ·         Rep. Jordan:  “And any—any timeframe reference you can give us on the FISA application that was taken to the court to get the warrant for Carter Page; how long did that one take to put together?  Was it a day, or was it a year?”
    ·         Rep. Ratcliffe:  “I don’t mean to embarrass you, but is Lisa Page someone that you do or at some point in time did love?”
    ·         Rep. Ratcliffe:  “So what I’m trying to establish through all of that is, was Lisa Page someone that you cared about deeply at the time you were sending these messages?”
    ·         Rep. Gowdy:  “So it’s fair to say you were a Clinton supporter?”
    ·         Rep. Goodlatte:  “Did you vote in the Presidential primary in 2016?”
    ·         Rep. Goodlatte:  “And which party did you cast a vote in?”

Cocktails & Popcorn: Nunes Calls For House To Find Out Why Perkins Coie Sucks

    Related image
"Look at them cringe. They really do not want to say his name,
yet have no choice but to give reverence."
    Yes, that is correct.

Devin Nunes is calling upon Bob Goodlatte and Trey Gowdy to stand in unison to preserve the annals of history as to why Perkins Coie Sucks.

Of course, there are those who shall scoff at the proclamation of the Celestial Goddess of the Woodshed that Perkins Coie Sucks.

I really do not care because Devin, Bob and Trey already know that Perkins Coie Sucks because I told them.

So, basically, the formal call of Nunes to probe the 42 Obama era anti-Trump activists is just one of those pro forma proceedings because the probe will be focused on two core items:

    1.  How many other cockroaches scatter once the probe illuminates why Perkins Coie Sucks; and,
    2. How badly they try to cover up the fact that Perkins Coie Sucks.

They refuse to believe that we already know what they did, how they did it, who they worked with, how much money was involved and how it was laundered.

I would be sorely disappointed if media attempts to spin this as an attack upon Democrats because Perkins Coie launched its most notable action upon someone who, dare I say, "used" to be considered an icon of the Democratic Party and who just so happened to be the one who formally requested the OIG investigation of the DOJ & FBI.

Then they attacked, Perkins Coie turned around and attacked Jim Jordan, the individual who would be picking up the mantle of impeachment hearings.

I bet this is going to make for awkward reporting in the media considering the fact that reporters and those in the social media sphere, are going to have a truly difficult time wrapping their heads around the fact that this has nothing to do with a partisan politics.

This has to do with ending stealin' of the children, the land and the votes.

I am going to make the world say his name, over and over and over again, as I sit back and sip on my glass of Merlot with a great big bowl of savory garlic buttered popcorn.

    This is so romantic!

Go forth my humble servants, for the Celestial Goddess of the Woodshed is getting kinda tired of biting her tongue.

Nunes calls for House probe of 42 Obama-era anti-Trump activists

"We shall apostilize the proclamation of the
     Celestial Goddess of the Woodshed
    that Perkins Coie Sucks
    ."
Rep. Devin Nunes is referring 42 Obama administration officials, FBI agents and outside political activists to a House task force for an investigation into how the Obama Justice Department targeted the Donald Trump campaign.

If the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee and Judiciary Committee agree, their task force would conduct the most extensive probe to date on anti-Trump government operations in 2016.

Mr. Nunes, Chairman of the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence, has sent letters to Oversight head Trey Gowdy of South Carolina and Judiciary’s Bob Goodlatte of Virginia.

The California Republican is asking his fellow GOP legislators to summon for public testimony all 42 — a cast of FBI, Justice Department and State Department officials and outside anti-Trump people with whom they communicated.

Last year, amid a probe into Russian election interference, Mr. Nunes veered from the Trump collusion narrative. His new inquiry was sparked by indications that a piece of evidence driving the FBI probe — the Democratic Party-financed dossier — was unverified and at worst a hoax.
Former British intelligence officer Christopher Steele, who was paid by Democrats to write the dossier and who told a Justice official he was “desperate” to destroy the Trump candidacy, is not one of the Nunes 42.

House Oversight panel opens Nassar probe

Washington — A top U.S. House committee said Thursday it is openiFng an investigation into sexual assault in gymnastics in response to sports doctor Larry Nassar’s sex crimes at Michigan State University, as well as other sites associated with the U.S. Olympics women’s gymnastics program.
Leaders of the Committee on Oversight and Government Reform said in a letter, below, to MSU Interim President John Engler on Thursday questioned why the university failed to fire Nassar until 2016 and inquires about the actions MSU plans to take “in response to this pervasive sexual abuse within the sport.”

It wants the university to turn over a raft of documents by Feb. 22.

“The Committee is investigating how Nassar’s crimes were able to occur, let alone persist, for over two decades. Michigan State University is at the center of many of these failures,” wrote Chairman Trey Gowdy, R-South Carolina, Gowdy, along with ranking Democratic Rep. Elijah Cummings of Maryland and three other panel members.

The committee is seeking all documents and communications relating to any and all complaints reported to MSU about Nassar, including those indicating how MSU responded to and resolved those complaints. It also wants records related to any and all other sexual assault complaints concerning individuals other than Nassar reported to MSU since 2008.

U.S. Rep. Mike Bishop, a Rochester Republican whose district includes MSU, had urged the Oversight panel to investigate the matter and said Thursday he was glad to see it moving forward.
“I’ve been all over leadership to make sure they get this done quickly because we don’t want to wait,” Bishop said.

MSU has said it will cooperate with any and all investigations. In a Monday letter to employees, Engler urged staff not to destroy “any document, record, or electronically stored information that could reasonably be relevant to the pending inquiries or any other investigation that involves allegations of sexual abuse or misconduct.”

Letters requesting information also were sent to the U.S. Olympic Committee, USA Gymnastics Inc., Twistars USA Gymnastics Club and the Karolyi Ranch.

Other committees in the U.S. House and Senate are already investigating sexual abuse in organized sports, targeting MSU, USA Gymnastics, the U.S. Olympic Committee, among other amateur sports groups.

The investigations follow the sentencing of Nassar to separate prison terms of 40 years to 125 years, as well as 40 to 175 years for first-degree sexual misconduct charges in Ingham and Eaton counties in Michigan. More than 200 women and girls have come forward to say Nassar sexually abused them.
The House Energy and Commerce Committee has requested answers from MSU’s Board of Trustees by Friday on when the university knew about allegations against Nassar, who received the complaints, how they were handled, and if there are other allegations of sexual misconduct involving other MSU faculty or staff.

Earlier this week, senators introduced a bipartisan resolution for creating a special Senate committee charged solely with investigating the U.S. Olympic Committee and USA Gymnastics over the sexual abuse scandal involving Nassar.

The resolution charges the panel with determining the extent to which the sports organizations were “complicit” in the criminal or negligent behavior of their employees relating to sexual abuse.

If established, the committee also would recommend solutions and any legislation needed to address the “systemic failures” at the USOC and USA Gymnastics that allowed for Nassar’s abuse to continue for decades.

Goodlatte & Gowdy Call on DOJ to Allow Staff to Be Interviewed by Congressional Investigators

    December 19, 2017

Members want to Talk to McCabe, Rybicki, and Page

Washington, D.C. – Today House Judiciary Committee Chairman Bob Goodlatte (R-Va.) and House Oversight and Government Reform Committee Chairman Trey Gowdy (R-S.C.) called on the Department of Justice to allow FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe, FBI Chief of Staff Jim Rybicki, and FBI counsel Lisa Page to be interviewed by Congressional investigators.

Nearly two months ago the House Committee on the Judiciary and the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform launched a joint investigation into decisions made by the Department of Justice, including the Federal Bureau of Investigation, during the 2016 presidential election.  Recent information indicates DOJ and FBI officials played a significant role in these questionable decisions.

In their letter to Attorney General Jeff Sessions and Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein, Chairmen Goodlatte and Gowdy called on them to allow Congressional investigators to interview McCabe, Rybicki, and Page starting Thursday, December 21, 2017.

"Hey Trey, What Are They Doing With All That Money?"

In 2012, U.S. Representative Trey Gowdy asked a teacher about the Children's Fund in a congressional hearing.

I tried to find out which congressional committee he was on at that time, but the congressional sites are wiped after each congress, a two year cycle.

    U.S. House Judiciary Committee

The public record was being manipulated.

The public record was being wiped.

The public record did not include my Sweetie.

The public record did not include child welfare fraud, which is me, the original source.

    Back to the 2012 video.

The teacher tells the committee how she was forced to make two, mandatory, separate payments of $188.00 to Children's Fund.

That is alot of money for a teacher.

The teacher continued to share her story that her union dues money went to the Children's Fund and that she was told the money went to Democratic political campaigns.

Then, Trey played the political opposition ad paid for by the NEA Fund for Children and Public Education, which received those two payments of $188.00 made to the Children's Fund, from that teacher.

This is a multi-million dollar annual fund, which means you have to take it, leverage that number at least 45-75 times, then set up another ancillary children's trust fund to go and buy property, and take out mortgages, leveraged 35-50 times, that are eventually wiped from the books, just like the committee records, just like the U.S Department of Health and Human Services child welfare federal records which are all going to the Clinton presidential library, (a.k.a. Clinton Foundation, et al.)

Then, the next question is, "What are they doing with all that money?"

Every state has a children's trust fund.

There are thousands of children's trust funds all around the world.

    Back to the Trey's video.

Then, Trey went on to ask counsel from Professor Kenneth Dau-Schmidt about the legalities of the Children's Fund soliciting, or rather strong-arming contributions for political campaigns.

Dau-Schmidt stuttered and came up with some lame ass explanation claiming some crap about state or federal jurisdiction on her complaint.

I found out he used to do his "legal thang" here, in Detroit representing labor unions, which means he knew what was happening because he was complicit in the culture of child welfare fraud funding political campaigns in Detroit.

I can always smell the stench of child welfare fraud, no matter where it is, no matter when it happens.

JUDICIARY: Goodlatte, Gowdy Request Information on Daniel Richman’s Handling of Comey Memos

Washington, D.C. – House Judiciary Committee Chairman Bob Goodlatte (R-Va.) and House Oversight and Government Reform Committee Chairman Trey Gowdy (R-S.C.) sent a letter to Attorney General Jeff Sessions and Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein requesting the Department of Justice (DOJ) provide documents and information related to Daniel Richman’s status at the FBI and/or DOJ as well as his handling of former FBI Director Comey’s memos.

    Excerpts from the letter:
“The Committees are aware James Comey, the former Director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), shared or instructed staff to share at least some portion of the memos he drafted memorializing his conversations with President Donald J. Trump (the Comey Memos) to an individual named Daniel Richman. The Committee is also aware Richman is or has been a “Special Government Employee (SGE)” of the FBI.”

“To assist the Committees in their oversight of this matter, please provide a copy of any non-disclosure agreement(s) signed by Richman with FBI, DOJ, or any other entity of the federal government.”

Full text of the letter can be viewed below.

    Background:
    • In October 2017, the Committees opened a joint investigation into the decisions made by the Department of Justice in 2016 and 2017.
    • On April 13, the Committees requested the Department of Justice make copies of former FBI Director Comey’s memos available to the Committees.
    • On April 20, the Committees received copies of former FBI Director Comey’s memos.

Judiciary Is About To Get Juicy

    Federal employees, officials
plotting and scheming to steal from the U.S. Treasury.
    Have you stolen federal dollars?

    Have you trafficked tiny humans?

Did you file false claims to federal programs?

Did you sell data to foreign corporations?

Did you sell secret sex tapes of Members of Congress to foreign nationals?

Did you tap phones of Members of Congress?

    Have you changed congressional votes?

Were you paid off to manipulate an election?

Did you steal from any FEC campaign committee?

Did you use an FEC campaign committee to steal?

Did you conspire to remove a sitting Member of Congress?

Did you forge any congressional documents?

Did you ever blackmail anyone in Congress, White House, Judiciary?

Were you selling drugs on Capitol Hill?

Did you set up fake corporations?

    Did you sell fake mortgages?

Did you steal the children, the land and the vote?

Do you flinch at the term #perkinscoiesucks?

Were you mean to my Sweetie?

If you have answered, "Yes" to any of these questions, then you might just be one of the reasons why the FBI has doubled its staff to process Judiciary's request for production of documents.

FBI doubles personnel to respond to Goodlatte requests

FBI Director Christopher Wray is doubling the number of FBI personnel tasked with responding to records requests from House Judiciary Chairman Bob Goodlatte (R-Va.), he said in a statement Tuesday night.

Up until Tuesday, 27 dedicated staffers were working to process Goodlatte's request. The committee has received about 3,000 documents so far.

Wray said while there is a very large number of documents to provide, "I agree that the current pace of production is too slow."

Goodlatte — who along with House Oversight and Government Committee Chairman Trey Gowdy (R-S.C.) is investigating alleged bias at the Justice Department — last week issued a subpoena to obtain documents related to how the FBI handled its probe into Hillary Clinton’s email server and potential surveillance abuses.

Conservatives on the two committees have become increasingly frustrated with what they say is the slow pace with which the Justice Department has turned over documents, leading to slow-going in the probe.

Specifically, lawmakers want to see a tranche of over a million documents examined by Department of Justice (DOJ) Inspector General Michael Horowitz, who is conducting a parallel probe into decisionmaking during the 2016 election.

"Quite candidly, if you're a FOIA applicant, you have a better chance of getting information," Gowdy told The Hill in an interview last week.

Democrats have called the Goodlatte-Gowdy probe a partisan distraction aimed at muddying the waters around special counsel Robert Mueller's investigation into President Trump's campaign and Russia.

DOJ spokesman Ian Prior said in a statement last week that officials are carefully combing through the documents page-by-page to protect certain sensitive information. The committee has been receiving documents on a rolling basis every 10 to 14 days, he said.

He also pushed back on the breadth of the document request, saying the DOJ believes there are 30,000 documents relevant to the committee's inquiry and describing the 1.2 million document request as "substantial."

Fifty-four FBI staff members, working in two shifts from 8 a.m. to midnight, will now work to "expedite" the project, according to Wray.

Just an observation, but Karen Hass, Clerk of the House, keeper of the record, is also overseeing the operations of the Michigan 13th Congressional District.

That means she has a duty to report any, well, let us just say, questionable activities, found to have been going on in that Michigan 13th Congressional District.

    Oh my.

    Welcome to the show, Karen.

I will make sure to make my popcorn really buttery!
