Oral Argument over President Trump’s Violations of the
Foreign Emoluments Clause

[WASHINGTON, D.C.] – TOMORROWTHURSDAY, JUNE 7, Judge Emmett Sullivan will hear the historic challenge on behalf of nearly 200 Members of Congress who are asking him to hold President Donald Trump accountable to the U.S. Constitution’s Foreign Emoluments Clause. In addition to Constitutional Accountability Center Attorneys—President Elizabeth Wydra and Chief Counsel Brianne Gorod, representing the Members in court tomorrow—U.S. Senator Richard Blumenthal (D-CT) and U.S. Representative Jerrold Nadler, Ranking Member of the House Judiciary Committee (D-NY) plan to be in attendance.

While the hearing before Judge Sullivan is scheduled to begin at 10:00 AM ET, there is no set time for the conclusion of oral arguments. Right now, we are anticipating adjournment at about 12:00 PM, with a press conference start time of 12:30 PM ET. This could change depending on the duration of arguments.
