Ohio's Governor John Kaisch denied the request.

So, if Congress refuses to allow the CDC to study gun violence, then why not have local police jurisdictions do it?

Local police can have their commissioners take the lead, partner with universities, or even better, how about partnering with the largest 501c3 to request funding to study gun violence?  (Snarky snicker)
