Introduced by Sen. Mark Jansen (R) on June 7, 2011, to allow certain child welfare employees who have left the state’s employment and begun collecting pension payments to return to work through a contractual arrangement, collect a paycheck, and still collect pension payments.
It's called the child welfare Double Dipping Bill. Brilliant, simply brilliant. At least I know she is a fan. And Mark, you should know better.
Here is how it works:
Michigan is cutting off welfare by enforcing the 48 month cap and revving up stricter criteria to be eligible for assistance, wrapping it all up by snatching a whole month of food assistance while reducing the monthly grant amount.
Maura says it is ending a cycle of dependence. That's fine and dandy, but where is the implementation plan? What is to happen when you cut these people off? I got a better question. What is to happen to the children of these families? Wanna know?
FOSTER CARE
And that is why she is bringing back the Binsfield Model and old soldiers of Michigan Militia against the poor (a.k.a. Child Protective Services). In a nutshell, poor families can access assistance once the children are in foster care. Remember, not all kids have to be snatched out the home to be in foster care.
Here is the revenue maximization scheme:
Michigan CPS Militia flag for their war on the poverty. |
People who have been on assistance, whether a few months here and there throughout ones life or 4 years straight will be able to turn to... uh...well... there is 2-1-1 you can call. This is United Way. United Way will refer you to programs that have no money and a waiting list. Did not cost the state a dime.
Then there is the jobs bank. Wait. No there is not but the state has "job navigators" who are volunteers. Does not cost the state a penny. Since there is a call for a need of volunteers, you can pretty much figure out that they do not have any "job navigators" let alone a plan and policy for the job navigators. I bet they will hold a sign, navigating people to other states with welfare programs... and more jobs.
When one is cut off of assistance, Maura "Cash Cow" Corrigan will have a team of top notched baby snatchers to bring out of retirement to help with the extermination of the poor... oh, I mean the end of poverty.

Jobs will be created. The economy will boom. Life will be wonderful in Michigan, all to the thanks of Maura Corrigan.
To make the historic story of foster care and adoption short and sweet, allow me to cost-effectively sum up the
policy for the Industry of Human Trafficking:
Mark my word. The number or Michigan children in foster care is about to skyrocket.- Poverty is abuse and neglect. Abuse and neglect is a crime.
- A parent(s) who is poor abuses and neglects the child.
- The state must protect the welfare of the child.
- The state never questions the work of God.
- Foster care and adoption residential institutions are in the name of God.
- People and corporations make tax write-off financial contributions to the institutions.
- Children get medicated; pharmaceutical companies get profit; social workers get jobs.
- The longer a child is in foster care; the more jobs are sustained.
- Sustaining and creating jobs saves money for the state.
- Foster parenting is a job.
- The state and the institutions are given financial incentives and receive financial rewards for each child transitioned into adoption.
- Michigan needs to make budget cuts.
- Michigan needs to create more jobs.
- Foster parenting is significantly more economical than an institution.
- Adoptive families receive financial rewards for each child adopted.
- The state no longer is financially responsible for the child.
- The state is no longer financially responsible for the birth parent.
- Everyone contributes to the economy.
- A stronger economy eradicates poverty.
- Poverty is a crime.
- When you stop poverty, you stop abuse and neglect.
