Teen speaks up about about abuse by CAS while in foster care

Even in Canada, the same revenue-maximization scheme exists.

Teen speaks up about about abuse by CAS while in foster care from Canada Court Watch on Vimeo.

Former foster child, Sara Smith, speaks up at Queen's Park about her experience in foster care. Sara describes how she was forced on medication which she never did need. She also describes how CAS kept her from seeing her own family, including her mother. Sara's experience is not unique. CAS workers ofter put children in foster care on drugs without the consent of the parents so that CAS agencies can get more money from the provincial government. CAS separate children from their family so that children in care cannot communicate with family members about how they are being abused while in care of the CAS.

As a result of her horrendous experience, Sara has decided to dedicate part of her life to helping other children in care and to help expose injustices by CAS workers and their agencies. (Video from Catherine Frei Productions)
