JUDICIARY: Rosenstein and Wray to Testify Before the House Judiciary Committee

Washington, D.C. – On Thursday, June 28, 2018 at 1:00 p.m., the House Judiciary Committee will hold a hearing on “Oversight of FBI and DOJ Actions Surrounding the 2016 Election.” At the hearing, Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein and FBI Director Christopher Wray will testify before the Committee regarding the findings contained in the Justice Department Inspector General’s report about various actions taken by the Justice Department and FBI in 2016, as well as regarding the Committee’s oversight investigation into these matters.

In October 2017, the House Judiciary Committee and House Oversight and Government Reform Committee announced a joint investigation into decisions made by the Department of Justice in 2016 and 2017. To date, the Committees have interviewed several key witnesses and reviewed thousands of documents. Recently, House Judiciary Committee Chairman Bob Goodlatte (R-Va.) and House Oversight and Government Reform Committee Chairman Trey Gowdy (R-S.C.) called on Deputy Attorney General Rosenstein and Director Wray to testify before Congress following the release of the Inspector General’s report.
