As of the date of this posting, the United States of America has never formally apologized for how it has treated the poor children of Aboriginal, African. Asian, Hispanic, European or the amalgamated descendant generations of these impoverished immigrants, for the purposes of Christian assimilation.
Today, we call it foster care but now it is being privatized, again, as an unregulated, tax-exempt, religious class-based animus based on racial profiling.
I still call it chattel ranching and it is still being taught in our schools and universities.
A national apology is a reparation.
It is time for Congressman Conyers to rewrite the Reparations Bill H.R. 40 to include everyone, even the children.
