Now, DHS, or rather Madame Maura Corrigan (said in a high British accent with clenched teeth) is requesting law enforcement powers, with guns, to go after petty offenses?
Michigan Welfare Police |
How about giving the Inspector General subpoena powers, or better yet, expand the powers of the Inspector General to go after Administrators who participate in the filing of false federal claims in the tune of billions.
This sounds like another one of those branch-jumping, rulemaking, lobbying schemes notorious of the Madame Maura Corrigan like she used to do from the bench to cover up billions in fraud in child welfare. (Make sure you click the link to read how she orchestrated Michigan's cover-up of billions) http://
How about expanding the powers of the Auditor General to refer violations of federal or state law to the Attorney General when conducting audits? Did you know the Michigan Children's Institute has never, ever been audited? Not one referral has been made to the Attorney General's Office for even suspected violations of law. Madame Corrigan ensures the protection of MCI.
How about contract fraud in DHS? How about the possible federal sanctions because of welfare fraud committed by administrators? http://
The paucity of welfare fraud by desperate applicants and recipients pales in comparison to the billions the State gets caught up in by the feds. Is this an example of the priorities of our Legislature? I did mention "billions in fraud through false claims", right?
How much is this going to cost compared to program savings?
When a balanced law enforcement Bill for DHS is introduced, then talk to me.
This is extremely poor research on the part of Representative Jones' staff.
This is not even piecemeal rulemaking, this is just pure bullshit.
