FBI arrests 19 in Metro Detroit in $50M health care fraud crackdown


Detroit— FBI agents raided 10 locations across Metro Detroit on Wednesday and have arrested 19 people in connection with a $50 million health care fraud investigation, sources told The Detroit News.

The raids and arrests are part of a nationwide crackdown on health care fraud.

The U.S. Attorney's Office is expected to announce additional details during an afternoon news conference in Detroit along with the FBI and U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.
