Congressman Conyers’ Statement on the 10th Anniversary of the September 11th Attacks

(DETROIT)— Congressman John Conyers, Jr. (D-Mich.) released the following statement on the 10th anniversary of the September 11th Attacks:

“Ten years after the horrible tragedy of September 11, we remember the victims and heroes of that momentous day.  It is my hope that we can not only honor the memories of the victims, their families, and the valiant sacrifices made by first responders, but also remember the many lessons of that momentous day.  We are better as a nation when we face our adversaries together in shared sacrifice;  we are stronger when we respect the rights and liberties of all Americans; and that the strength of our society is in our shared ideals and our diversity.”
