HHS Publishes Medicaid Fraud Prevention Roadmap

Medicaid fraud in child welfare is not always committed by physicians.  Social workers have the authority to approve the submission of reimbursements, also.  In foster care, there  are case managers who are normally not social workers to circumvent regulation who engage in Medicaid fraud in child welfare on a regular basis.  Many times it is out of lack of training, lack of supervision and your basic malfeasance and malicious intent.

In child welfare, the focus should be on Targeted Case Management.

Avoiding Medicare and Medicaid Fraud and Abuse
