Washington University gets federal grant for new research center on developmental disabilities
ST. LOUIS (AP) — A $6 million federal grant is helping Washington University establish a research center aimed at improving the lives of children with developmental disabilities. The Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities Research Center in St. Louis will focus on research to treat and prevent developmental disabilities in children.
Funding comes from a five-year grant from the National Institutes of Health.
The university says more than 60 investigators will participate in research at the center.
A child welfare project worth watching. Let's hope they do not start generating policy recommendations to further fuel reasons to remove and place children in foster care.
