State warns against Medicaid fraud
DHHS Secretary Lanier Cansler is requesting that the posters be displayed in prominent locations inside more than 70,000 provider offices and state/county agencies.
Part of DHHS’ new “Medicaid fraud and abuse cost YOU!” campaign, the posters encourage citizens to report Medicaid fraud, waste and abuse to the Division of Medical Assistance (DMA) via a toll-free hotline, 1-877-DMA-TIP1 (1-877-362-4871).
Or report an online complaint.
And do not forget to thank Attorney General Roy Cooper for this groundbreaking initiative to end Medicaid fraud in child welfare.

Alicia Lawson of Lawson Support Service in sparta nc is the worst at doing fraud. she pushes therapist to tell clients they need extra services and if the client does not sign for it she will not let them see a therapist or be helped in any way. she has people who are not qp's doing qp work and has already had a pay back for it. the auditors did not catch all the names that were doing qp work and got away with not paying back some. she also has several people working as qp's under other peoples names. i heard she had a few people do it under her name and the clients had no idea these people working as the qp was not even educated to be anything but direct care. The qp who helped my son never even saw him one time over two years. all we saw was a direct care aide who would have me sign papers. i had no idea i was supossed to see a qp until my friends aunt who worked there just told me yesterday. She told me about these qp people not being qp aloud my state laws and how these so called auditors did not even catch it all because some people had been fired so they would not be checked out. the direct care aide was nice but seemed stressed out all the time and always worried. when i didnt agree to sign my son to a day program they stopped helping him in anyway. when i asked the direct care aide why this happened. i was told that the owner had became all about money and was not willing to help if it wasnt something that brought in good money because the company was struggling because of mismanagment and state laws not paying her to sit at home and do nothing. i felt sorry for her she was good to my son. she worked hard to get my son back to doing good and having fun. After i find all this fraud out how is this ok? why is my son not with his aide? why did i have to sign a paper for my son to do a day program when he was doing fine with his therapist even with out the aide he loved. how can a place that is supposed to help you have people who are not even educated more them me tell me they are my sons qp and i can't get help for my son if i do not follow the owners rules and then not even be told other places that can help my son. the only other place to help in town at least was honest with me even though they did not have the programs any longer. someone please stop Lawsons Support Services and Alicia Lawson because she has messed not only my life my sons life up but many of the people i know lives up as well and from what i learned today she treats good staff like nothing and has others doing jobs they are not aloud to do by state law. how can i report her other then this? can someone help?
My sons therapist was a good man and the aide she was a good woman the girl at the desk was sweet but from what i found out it is the alicia Lawson owner and managment that pushes these people not to tell the truth cause they are scared to not follow what they are told or are not told the truth. im having my aunt get me the names of the people not educated to be qp's if she can so i can post them here if she is able to find them out. this should not be aloud to happen to people trusting others who are supposed to help the community. im not naming the good people who helped my boy cause they did right by what i can tell.
