Happy New Year To The Queen of Welfare Fraud: Michele Bachmann

There comes a time when waiting pays off.

It seems Congressional Representative Michele Bachmann has been crowned as the Welfare Queen but this was done in error. Her proper appellation is Child Welfare Fraud Queen.

The report on truthdig.com was limited in its scope of Bachmann's welfare activities. Even if it is true that she was in receipt of more than $200.000.00 corporate farm subsides over the last 10 years, the focus should be on her activities, rather than her government funding.

On that note, let's look at her foster care and adoption activities to see if there has been any revenue-maximization schemes.

This is a commendable activity, but let's exam her enthusiasm a bit further.

Madame Bachmann has championed the causes of less governmental intervention on many levels, particularly anything dealing with a continuance on the suspension of regulation of welfare programming, but why is this?

According to her official website, Congresswoman Bachmann currently sits on the Financial Services Committee. This committee is tasked with the oversight of numerous financial sectors including housing, real estate and banking.

As we can see below, the industries that have contributed to her political campaigns over her career are entities that have benefited from the deregulation of welfare programs, but let's peel back another layer.

Bachmann and her husband, Marcus, live in Stillwater where they own a small business mental health care practice that employs 42 people. The Bachmanns have five children, Lucas, Harrison, Elisa, Caroline, and Sophia. In addition, the Bachmanns have opened their home to 23 foster children, which has inspired Congresswoman Bachmann to become one of Congress’ leading advocates for foster and adopted children, earning her bipartisan praise for her efforts.

I do not know the particulars, but one can immediately see a cankerous motivation for the continuance of the suspension of regulation of social welfare programs, as this may be the largest welfare subsidy Madame Bachmann and her husband receive.

If she has fostered 23 children, then she has received welfare subsidies. Minnesota has the option of negotiating rates of care so, we shall be conservative and calculate based on estimates.

If 5 children were in foster care placement, being classified as special needs, a 30-day payment, where each child per diem rate was set at $50.00 a day, would generate a monthly payment of $7,500.00, not including other stipends. That is $90,000.00 a year, with tax deductions of the Earned Income Credit of each child, let's be nice and say a total of $5,000.00 to make possible welfare generation to the realms of $95,000.00. There are other financial incentives, but with limited information, I am only trying to paint a picture.

With that type of welfare income being generated, one would have the financial incentives, and campaign contributions, to advocate for a continuance of these programs that have demonstrated itself, over and over, to be stricken with those who abuse and neglect federal funds, or fraudfeasors as I like to call them.

Perhaps, this is why the University of Minnesota Center for Advanced Studies in Child Welfare continues to neglect the recognition of the aberrant ethics and administrations that breech its fiduciary duties in overseeing the operations of child welfare.

As long as Madame Bachmann allows the promulgation of egregious activities of fraud in the child welfare system by her neglectful and abusive public announcements, her legitimacy should be questioned. Until I see Madame Bachmann stand up and say that Medicaid fraud must stop in child welfare, I cannot consider her to be a credible source of information.

What I am alleging is that Madame Bachmann's only goal is to interfere in the joint partnership investigations between the U.S. DHHS OIG and U.S. DOJ, H.E.A.T., to end Medicare and Medicaid fraud, in order to protect her own scheme of profiting from welfare fraud.

Michele Bachmann is a queen, the Queen of Child Welfare Fraud.  You can have fun and do the math.
