There's No Business Like SCOTUS Show Business

This the most entertaining oral I have ever had the pleasure of reading.  Here are a few snippets:

ATTORNEY FOR STATE OF CALIFORNIA:  So, this morning, California asks this Court to adopt a rule of law that permits States to restrict minors' ability to purchase deviant, violent video games that the legislature has determined can be harmful to the development...
JUSTICE SCALIA:  What's a deviant... Some of Grimm's fairy tales are quite grim, to tell you the truth....Are you going to ban them, too?
JUSTICE SOTOMAYOR: Could you get rid of rap music?  Have you heard some of the lyrics of some of the rap music. some of the original violent songs that have been sung about killing people and about other violence directed to them?
This argument brought before the Court is a fine example of the child protection frenzy.  The frenzy is an effect from the reinvestment into the social infrastructure.  If we allow parents to be parents, then they would be out of a job!

On with the show!

Schwarzenegger v. EMA

WARNING: SOME OF THE SCENES IN THIS VIDEO ARE GRAPHIC AND DEVIANT. NOT APPROPRIATE FOR CHILDREN...
